BENQ 71G monitor wont turn on

The LED light does not come on when the On button is pushed. On the main circuit board the fuse, power diodes and main switching transistors seem OK. Is a circuit diagram available? I am a now retired electronics Engineert.

Typical failure is High voltage supply. Can you hear a high pitch whine or the relay click on and off? You will need some test point reffence voltages for the board and confirm you do not have a damaged VGA cable. It is not easy to give step by step via forum. Google "monitor repair", there were a couple good general guides that are printable. If youe high voltage tranformer (flyback) is gone, do not go any further. Price of a monitor flyback is $65 to over $100 depending on model.

I have E420I-A0, 42"LEDtv wont turn on.Replaced the power board. The power supply board receives ~3v&12v from main board, when On button pushed,no Vizio or LED light or pic or sound. Main board bad?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Can't find video signal

If screen says "Signal cable not connected " all the time till power led switches to Amber chances are monitor is ok and problem is with graphic card or cpu.Connect to Known working CPU and confirm that monitor is the problem.
If same problem persists on another working cpu after changing signal cable, the interface board in the monitor could be defective.

BenQ FP767 17" LCD Monitor Problem - Power LED Blinks

Look for small power transistors 2SC5707 near yellow invertor transformers which go to backlight connectors.
But if problem is blinking power LED powersupply capacitors maybe an issue, check visualy and/or replacement.
Also fuse that maybe blown is not glass fuse near mains socket,It is semiconductor black or yellow colour labeled PFxxx near heatsinks of power supply secondary.

If it's a 71g and not 71g+ resolder transistors 2sc5707 on invertor board along with grey condensers and inverter transformer. This should solve the problem if it was display shutting off with power led remaining on.Otherwise check power section.

BenQ FP591 15" monitor decides to die

Strange that both should show the same symptoms don't you think? Have you changed anything computer wise? Graphics card or resolution? Screeching noise is a puzzle too. How are they powered - internally or via a separate power supply?

Light is green, but monitor just goes on for a split second then it goes off.

density, I agree from what you have described it might be the inverter board, however, I wouldn't start tearing and replacing based on your description just yet. With the computer on and the monitor power LED green shine a flashlight in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Look for the Windows ?Start? button, if your backlight and/or the inverter board is not working you?ll see a faint ?start? button if you look closely. If that is the case I wouldn't recommend randomly re-soldering or replacing parts on the inverter board. Unless you physically see damage or have the ability to trouble shoot the failure to a discrete component I would suggest replacing the entire board if it is economically worth it. Depending on the monitor this is usually an economically repairable problem. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
