I think you might need to clean the filter - an easy task. Check the owner's manual to see how. If you don't have the manual, be brave and pop it apart - I think there are only a few screws holding it together. They're really a pretty smiple machine. To clean the filter, just rinse it off with gasoline.

What will happen if I burn a diesel/ gas mix in a reddy heater 55000 multi fuel heater?

Hi, If the heater recommends kerosene or diesel only, and you mix gas into the situation, you will get an explosion and fire loosing not only the heater but most everything else.Unless the spec's say you can since it will use other fuels, gas would be one I would not use, mixed or not, like I say only if it says you can. At 70,000 B.T.U.s, as it says above, this Reddy heater burns hot anyway, and I don't want to put you in a dangerous situation by saying yes, go right ahead? So please check first, I would say no way. Good Luck, and Sincerely, Shastalaker7

I have an older 100,000 btu Reddy unit that was pulsing. Put new diesel in and problem went away for awhile. Now pulsing again.

might have a clogged fuel filter. try to drain and replace. run fresh fuel. the pulse also could come from too much fuel causing a burst in the main heat exchanger. if this heater is older than ten years i would trash it and buy a new one so you dont blow up

Sears forced air kero heater wont start, spitting fuel out front

sounds like the ignitor is bad, mine would try to light and do the same thing. I noticed one night that it was arcing out the entire length of the wires to the plug. If you have a good spark then i would suggest a CAD flame sensor, very cheap.

115000 btu ready heater/ about 3 years old from home depot/multi fuel

I would try cleaning the flame sensor, use a Qtip slightly moist with ispropyl alcohol. it's a rubber boot about 2in. long faceing the combustion chamber with two wires.
