Question about Uniden DECT 6.0 Cordless Telephone Expansion Handset

1 Answer

WHEN I HIT THE TALK BUTTON, IT BEGINS WITH A SCRATCHY NOISE AND SOMETMES IT SQUEELS. I HAVE UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING FOR AN HOUR OR SO AND PLUGGED EVERYTHING BACK IN. THAN AS TOLD, I TRIED TO 'REREGISTER' BOTH CORDLESS HANDSETS. THE SAME PROBLEM PERSISTS. THE BATTERIES DON'T SEEM TO BE SPENT DESPITE THE YEARS OF USE. I HAVE ALSO CHECKED THE OUTSIDE 'NDET".

I WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY THE BATTERY. AS THE BATTERIES ARE THREE YEARS OLD AND CONTINUE TO POWER THE UNIT I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S THAT. IT STATES THAT THE BATTERY SHOULD LAST ONE YEAR AND WOULD INDICATE "LOW BATTERY". THE PHONES ARE ALWAYS IN THE CRADLES AND POWERED UP. I TESTED THE OUTSIDE LINE AND FOUND NO NOISE. AS THE BATTERIES ARE $20 EACH, I BOUGHT A NEW PHONE FOR $10. SINCE THEN, I HAVE RE-CONNECTED THE OLD UNIDEN PHONES, BOTH IN MY HOME OFFICE AND IN MY BEDROOM AND THEY SEEM TO WORK JUST FINE WITH A MINIMUM OF NOISE. THIS ALL OCURRED AFTER SEVERE SNOW, WIND AND RAIN STORMS.
THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

3.1 gmc engine has noises and the noise coming from top manifold is squeels noise when rpm idle hight

Squeels could be vacuum leak. Use length of old hose--one end in ear--to locate exact location of noise. BE CAREFUL TO KEEP HOSE AND HANDS OUT OF MOVING PARTS.

I think you accidentally turned on some kinda of test pattern. Try pressing the Input button on the TV itself or the menu button. Sorry that is the best I can do.

How to set time Casio W-89H two button watch

Actually, the watch has 3 buttons -- "Light" being the 3rd one. Press Mode until a number in the time mode begins flashing. Then press the Light button to get it to the hour indicator. Use the 12-24 Hr button to set it to the current hour. Then press the Light button again to get it to the minutes section. Again, use the 12-24 Hr. Button to set it to the next minute coming up in the current time. Then push the Light button again. This will bring up the seconds indicator. At the precise time the minute you set before begins, hit the 12-24 Hr. button, and the indicator goes back to zero and begins ticing away. Then hit the Mode button again until the watch is in the current time mode. Hope this helps. I use Internet time to set a precise time.
