I am having the same problem. Each time I turn on the computer I get a pop up that I need to install the driver, but then it always says it failed. I have tried all the advice, but still not having any luck.

I have the same problem but there doesn't seem to be a fix for it. I finally added the update to the "Hide Update" list in Windows Update just so it would quit nagging me.

The software for my monitor will not install. It tells me that there is an error.

Ok so i was searching around the internet and found a similar problemwith another monitor so for giggles i tried there method. This is thewebsite where i found it : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/itprovistahardware/thread/d7c0e5bd-2fcf-48ff-a79b-c157014fc821/#page:3

The Second entry has a download.Download it then extract the files to the desktop. Dont worry if youget errors when the program runs it will fix them, if they come up justpress enter to keep going. Once the program completes install thedriver again and it should work as it did for me.

If you cant get to that website heres the post from it:
"Ok, once again i checked updates for HP My Display/Drivers, and found this:
http://www.portrait.com/dtune/hpw/enu/support_help.html

Here is a direct link to fix for "Access Denied" issue (HP LCD Monitors & Vista):
http://download.portrait.com/DRVFix.zip

Download DRVFix.zip. The fix contains 3 files including this readme. All must be in to the same folder.

  • readme.txt - This file
  • RestoreDisp.exe - Executable required to restore permissions. DO NOT RUN THIS FILE
  • DVRFIX.exe - Run this file in Administrator mode after reading the instructions completely
To perform the fix do the following:
  1. Extract all files in to a folder on your desktop
  2. Open the folder, right click on the DVRFIX.exe file and choose "Run As Administrator"
  3. Follow the on screen instructions. When complete, you should be able to install your drivers

If you find this helpful, please let me know.

I fixed this issue manually (from registry), about month ago.
But gladly i found this help file, by mistake. Update does not complete - emotion-1.gif

Regards
Vesa"

Basically, the two replies I did get had no solution to the problem and they experienced the same thing. I find it appalling that, and if you check on the internet there are many, many facing the same issue, no one is willing to step forward with a fix, WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR IT!!!. Why should we pay for something that was overlooked which gives me the feeling that "They have my money and don't care. Be warmed and be filled. Go away and don't bother me with your trivial requests.
I finally selected to HIDE the update so I won't see it popping up every day or week.
I guess some things never change. Money is everything.

Hp clj cm1312 mfp firmware corrupt ready 2 download, What to me to do? Help, please

You will need to apply the firmware to the machine. I've attached the link to hp site for you to download the firmware file as well. Below the link is the directions on how to accomplish this, as well you can see the same directions on via the link provided

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=3558902&prodNameId=3558903&swEnvOID=228&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=t2-85206-1

Firmware Update Notes:
  1. The Firmware Update Utility uses the USB connection to the printer.
  2. The HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP print driver software must be installed prior to using this utility.
  3. The HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP printer must be on and in a READY state as shown by the LCD display on the control panel and remain powered on during the entire firmware update process.
  4. Depending on the processor speed of your PC, the firmware update process may complete on the printer before the update status progress bar in the flash firmware update utility on the PC screen completes, this is normal.
  5. Once the update process has started, do not use your PC for any other activity until the process is complete.
  6. Do not power cycle the product or the PC until the firmware update process is complete.
Process:
  1. Download the flash firmware updater file from HP.com to the PC desktop.
  2. Turn the printer off and then back on to clear main printer memory.
  3. Double click on the file CM1312_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20100616.exe flash firmware update utility file. An HP firmware update window will open.
  4. Select the appropriate CM1312 MFP driver in the dialog window. If you assigned a different name to the HP CM1312 MFP, choose the name that represents the correct printer.
  5. Click on "Send Firmware" when ready to proceed.
  6. The progress bar will begin to move to the right indicating information being transferred.
  7. DO NOT power cycle the product or the PC during this process or the product may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP. The flash firmware update can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient.
  8. During the product flash firmware update, the display on the product control panel will display "Printing Document - Erasing - Programming - Complete - Hewlett-Packard - Ready - Initializing - Ready". Once the download is finished the printer will be in the Ready state.
  9. At the conclusion of the firmware update, the dialog window will show a smiley face. Click on exit.
  10. If it is desired to verify the update, use the control panel reports menu under setup to print a configuration report. The configuration report will show the current firmware revision in the Product information block, Firmware Datecode: 20100616

My HP 1907 lcd monitor did not take an update. I was told that I would have to re-install it. How do I do this?

There is no update for this monitor. You just have to mkae sure you have the correct video card driver install in your computer. Just use this monitor with another computer to find out if it is monitor or computer problem.

My hp w1907 monitor is constantly auto adjusting every 1 or 2 seconds. Make it stop.

Good morning! Auto adjustment occurs when resolution or refresh rate of the display changes. Check your display setings in OS. Set them properly according to product operations manual. Update your display adapters driver. Also check your VGA card or motherboard display port & try using a different cable. try pluging the monitor to a different computer or plug in a different monitor with your motherboard or VGA cards display port. best regards

No sound from my HP w1907 monitor

This is a failure in the audio section of the control circuit. Your cable could be at fault or the circuit itself. Try switching cables or try you monitor on a different sound source. if this does not work then it is the monitors sound circuits. This requires a trip to a service center for servicing. Hope this helps.

HP W1907 Monitor

If it was working fine why install additional software? Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling the software or drivers.
