I have the same problem which started yesterday 1/15/09. The tv was working fine and nothing has been changed. What should be tried. also after unplugging the satellite from the tv, the tv now goes off by itself.

Hello, I'm interested in helping, but we need a little more information, Please provide the make and model # for your tv and your cable box, also do you have a A/V reciever setup for surrond sound? If so please let me Know the make and model of that as well. Once I have the information then we can move on. Also what kind of cables do you have running between each of them. In some TV's and cable boxes there is going to be a setting to change to video from Composite to HDMI or something along those lines depending on the brand of TV, Cable box, or A/V reciever. Thanks and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi jzucal, I will be happy to help. We need to check the backlight. While you have audio take a flashlight and shine it on the screen. Look very closely at the screen and see if you can see a dark video image. Let me know what you find and I can assist further. Please rate this solution. Lone99star

I NEED SONY BRAVIA T32 FULL MANUAL...how to conect to computer and camera

Hello there,

Here is the link to the full manual:
http://support.sony-asia.com.edgesuite.net/consumer/IM/4110401121.pdf

Before connecting your devices...
The signals that enter the TV and connected devices will need to be output in the correct format using the suitable connections. Below are the different types of video connectors. When connecting the TV, use the inputs that are available on your devices that provide the best video performance.
Video performance level Name Aspect Signal transmitted Separate audio connection required arrw.jpg HDMI cnn_hdmi.jpg Picture + Sound No DVI*1 cnn_dvi.jpg Picture Yes
l.jpg r.jpg
L-AUDIO-R Component video cnn_component.jpg Picture S-Video cnn_s_video.jpg Picture Composite video cnn_composite.jpg Picture RF/Coaxial cnn_coaxial.jpg Picture + Sound No
*1 If the equipment has a DVI jack and not an HDMI jack, connect the DVI jack to the HDMI IN (with HDMI-to-DVI cable and/or adapter jack), and connect the audio jack to the AUDIO IN (L/R) jacks of HDMI IN. (The DVI connector is for video signals only) To enjoy the best visual experience with your system, it is preferable to connect your best devices with the highest quality connections available. For example: your Blu-Ray Disc player or HD Set Top Box with HDMI, followed by your DVD player with Component, then your Video Cassette Recorder with S-video etc.Note: The quality of the picture also strongly depends on the quality of the cable used.
HDMI The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is an all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting high definition video and audio signals. HDMI provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, a DVD player, a PC, a video game system, or an AV receiver and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital television (DTV). DVI The Digital Visual Interface is capable of transmitting high definition video, but does not transmit sound. You will need to use the audio connectors of your device (usually Optical/Coaxial digital, or RCA). It is possible to connect an HDMI device to a DVI device using a HDMI to DVI adapter. Component video Component video is an analogue connection. It is capable of transmitting high definition signals. Component does not transmit sound. You will need to use the audio connectors of your device (usually Optical/Coaxial digital, or RCA) S-Video Separate video, abbreviated S-Video and also known as Y/C is an analogue video signal that carries the video data as two separate signals (brightness and colour), unlike composite video which carries the entire set of signals in one signal line. S-Video, as most commonly implemented, carries standard definition video. It does not carry audio on the same cable. Composite video Composite video is an analogue video (no sound) format. This is the connector you should use if you do not have any other connector available, in terms of quality. RF/Coaxial RF Coaxial Cable connection is used for transferring television signals (audio and video) originating from an antenna or cable box to a Television.

Hope this was helpful to you.

How can I connect my dvd player to a Philips 32PFL5605H/05 32-inch Widescreen Full HD LED TV ? It is of the type which has one red, one yellow, and one white connector but i do not see any sockets that...

The included cable with the red, yellow and white RCA connectors is a composite A/V cable. To connect this cable to the TV, you need a SCART-cinch adapter. Then use one of the SCART connections on the TV. Note: the SCART connection does not handle HD signal.

You will get a much better picture if you buy a different cable. Depending on your DVD player, get either an HDMI cable or a pair of cables - a component video and audio cable. (Both component and the audio cable will have RCA plugs at each end. The component video has 3 plugs - red, blue and green. The audio will have 2 plugs - white and red.) Both of these will carry HD signals. Most DVD players will have at least component video and composite video jacks; some have the HDMI output. Most DVD/VCR combinations will need the composite video for the VCR and the component video is optional for the DVD signal.

I hope this helps.

I have a Sony Bravia #KLD-46WL140 that has intermittent audio failure. The picture is fine but the sound bleeps off momentarily then back on. Help

Well you may want to look at you A / V Sync under your digital setup menu and try adjust it.You can also find a diagnostic option that will show signal strength. You can run thru all your channels and see how strong the signal is ,and if they are under 75 would think about adding a signal booster, even if you have cable.Or a better HD Digital atenna.Well hope this helped, and good luck.

It can still be your cable box, do you have another hd set to check and see if the hd output is working on the cable box? Seems too much of a coincidence that it happened when you were changing the channel on the cable box, the tv can only show what it is receiving.

Digital cable audio connection issues?

Digital is much more sensitive to "noise" and cuts out if signal is not strong. Contact your cable company to have them check the signal level you are receiving.

Poor picture quality on cable input

Try swapping some cables around, like the skart lead from the dvd(if scart) for the cable one, if the picture problem swaps with the lead then thats the problem. If it doesn't try settings on the cable and tv, if the cable is sending nvbs signals and the tv is set to pal then this can also occur.

Not getting signal for some of the channels in the area.

What is the source of your signal? ie cable, sat, or antenna?
If it is rabbit ears or antenna you may not have a strong enough signal.. With digital you have to have a preaty strong signal or it will come back with "weak signal or channel not found" You could try a signal booster.
