When vaccum is in use it shuts off after vaccuming for a minute .

It sounds like the batteries are at the end of their lifespan.

this means you have a blockage somewhere on the vac

It's either plugged or clogged in the filter, which triggered the internal thermal shut-off. Clean it out and wait thirty minutes and it should work.

This sounds like an overheat condition. You must have plugged air flow, so rather than cause a fire, the unit shuts down until cooled. Find and remove the blockage << Not always an easy task.

Ive had this problem before. I have never figured out what caused it. I let it be for a few minutes and it started working again.. weird.. I'd just let it sit for a few then try it again.

Called the phone number posted on the vaccum cleaner itself and my husband received technical support directly from Dyson. Problem solved at no cost to us. Vaccum is working fine.

you probably broke the belt so check that. if the mains cord is damaged, you should replace it

I had the same problem when I first bought mine. I let it set for a while and did some online research. I can't remember the site I went to, but it said that this sweeper will shut off when overheated to protect it and will start back up later. I went back and turned mine back on and it was fine.
