I just bought the Sunbeam 900 watt microwave, and I cannot seem to set power levels. I've tried the directions, the way they're explained in the booklet, but it doesn't work. C ANNOT call Sunbeam at all - their lines are always "FULL" . Very frustrating.

How do you set the power level

If you have a power level button---press it and then enter 1-0 for 10. Most microwaves automatically come on at power level 10 or Hi power unless you pick a different option like the defrost button which is usually power level 3.

How do I set the power at 50%?

After first setting the cook time---then hit the power level button and hit the number 5 (for 50%) and then start. Power level can also be changed while running by hitting power level button and selecting 1 through 10. For example level 3 is 30% for defrosting.

Try pressing and adjusting the power level before setting the cook time, or maybe before pressing start. Worked on my Panasonic

Everything works fine, except my food is still cold

Check the "power" level setting.

Most microwaves allow adjusting the power level from 1 to 10 (or 10 to 100 on some models). 10 (or 100) is the highest/quickest setting.

I can check mine by entering a time...then before pushing "start"....push the "power" button....and change the level if I want.

I have never used the power feature and now I need to and cant find manual. How does the power feature work. I need to operate the microwave on medium power for one minute.

1 Use the number buttons to set a cooking
time. You can set a time from one second to
99 minutes, 99 seconds. To set a time over
one minute, enter the seconds too. For
example, to set 20 minutes, enter 2, 0, 0, 0 .
2 If you want to set the power level to
something other than High, press the Power
Level button, then use the number buttons
to enter a power level.
Power Levels:
Level Cooking PL
1Warm10
2Low20
3 Defrost 30
4Medium Low40
5Medium50
6 Simmer 60
7 Medium High 70
8 Reheat 80
9 Saute 90
10 High Hi

Hope that helps.

How to set power level

Most I've seen have a dedicated keypad with 'Set Level' or similar. When that is pushed, you determine the level in percentages by pressing the '1' key for 10%, the '2' key for 20% as so on. Pressing a number should give a corresponding 2 digit number on the display; i.e., a '1' is shown as '10'.
