Toshiba DKT-2010H Corded Phone ringing in my ear..

In our office we has 5 phone lines and when you are talking to someone on one of the lines, the next call coming in will ring in the handset - not from the telephone console. I know the is a lame question but does anyone know how to correct this? Many Thanks---

Transfer

Do you mean send the call to another phone?
Make sure the line is not on hold (push the caller's line) then push Cnf/Trn, dial the extension you want the call to go to, then hang up.
The person you're sending to will receive that call on their speakerphone button and it will ring in a different tone.

Toshiba RPCI DI Station Ringer

which system?
The most popular is the DK system but it came in several revisions.
The primary differences are the way the ports are numbered and several program numbers.
Programming is done from port 005(ext 205).
The sequence of events is:
enter programming mode by pressing "speaker *#*#1*2*3"
enter ringing program
Day ring is "spkr 81 hold"
enter port number of the port you want to ring (example : 007#)
press buttons corresponding to the lines you want to ring then press hold.
To exit programming press"spkr ## hold then spkr ## hold.

Toshiba 2010H

When you press any button the speaker will make a quick beep. Is this what you are asking about or are you asking about the DTMF tones when you press a number button 1-9,0,*,#
