Can't Scan in Imac, via adobe acrobat. Not able to pick printer from the use this scanner field

From control pannel of your pc ,go to the scanners and camera and see your AR_M205.then dubleclick on it.ok?

In Adobe Acrobat, go to -File-/-Create PDF-/-From Scanner-/-Scan-. Scan your first sheet and after it is completed, in the Acrobat Scan Dialogue box, click on -Next-, and scan the next sheet. Continue until you have finished your document and then click on -Done-. You can make your scanned document searchable by doing an OCR procedure on it by going to -Document-, -Recognise document by using OCR-/-Start-.

Scan directly using Adobe software from computer

1 Position the first page of your document on the flatbed scanner and close the lid.

2 In Adobe Acrobat, under the File menu, choose "Create PDF", then "From Scanner" and then "Custom Scan."

3 In the Scan dialog box, choose your configuration settings. This will vary based on the nature of the document you wish to scan (e.g. color or black & white, images or text).

4 Click "Scan."

5 When the scanning process is complete, Acrobat will ask you if you wish to scan more pages into the file. If you do, position the next page on the flatbed scanner and click "Scan More Pages." Otherwise, click "Scan Is Complete."

6 Repeat the above steps as necessary to scan a multi-page document.

to scan in pdf format you have to install the acrobat writer software in your machine..... if you installed do like this ...

open hp solution center...>scan document .....> it will open one more window in that scan to option select acrobat ............. and scan.....

It is possible to scan different batches scanned from the ADF into one PDF file. When loading more pages in the ADF after the first realm is finished, it asks if you want to continue scanning to the same file. After that, it will continue scanning to the same file. However, this feature can be selected in the Adobe Acrobat application itself. From HP software, if we load the paper after one realm of paper in the ADF is finished, it will scan the second realm to a different file. If you want to continue scanning to the same file, you need to have either Acrobat Exchange or Adobe Acrobat installed on the computer. Adobe Reader will not provide this feature. After installing either Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Exchange, perform the following steps to scan pages to a single file:

1. Make sure your scanner is turned on.
2. Start Acrobat Exchange or Adobe Acrobat.
3. Put the document into the scanner (usually face down on the scan bed).
4. In Adobe Acrobat, click File , then Import , and Scan .
5. Select the device and whether you are scanning a single- or double-sided document.
6. The scanning software opens and the scanner completes a preview scan.
7. When the preview scan comes up, make any adjustments you would like, including selecting the area you want to appear in the final scan.
8. Click Scan . This will get the final scan into the computer.
9. Your scanning software should take you back to Adobe Acrobat.
10. In Adobe Acrobat, you should see a small window asking you if you want to scan another page. If the document you are scanning has more than one page, click the Next Page button. If this is the only page, click Done .
    NOTE: Scanning multiple pages causes each page to append to the previously scanned page. If you have multiple pages, but want them to be in different files, click Done after each page to create separate files.
11. When you have scanned the last page, click Done on the window described in step 10.
12. Your scanned pages will open in Adobe Acrobat. Scroll through to make sure that everything is there.
13. Click File , and then Save As to name your file and save it.

Did u try to check the scanner option under scanners in Control panel. also how are you trying to scan the doc. try this open adobe acrobat and
In Acrobat, do one of the following:
Choose File > Create PDF > From Scanner.
Choose Document > Scan To PDF.
Choose From Scanner from the Create PDF menu on the toolbar.

Open your Adobe Acrobat (e.g., 9.0 Pro), load your pages into the document feeder (fewer than 30 at a time), then ask Adobe Acrobat to create PDF from scanner (File/Create PDF/From Scanner). Canon MP530 as the scanner and click OK. Works like a charm!
