Question about Canon PIXMA MP240 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Wont print from my MAC; canon MP240

The drivers are succesfully installed, I restarted everything more than once, it will print the test page, it will copy just fine, my default is set right as the correct printer.
I brought up some documents in word, excel, and preview.
None would print. I ketp getting the message, client-error-support ...
and it said "no pages found."

I don't know what to try next.

Might your concern be with the page range in the print dialog. Instead of specific pages, try either "All" or "Current Page".

What u can try is that when it is doing so what u can check is that first of all check the word and the document that u have is it on ur default printer or is it somewhere else and still if it doesnt work what u can do is that dod the system restore when the computer was able to print.....good luck

There might be a curruption in the Word exel program! reinstall the word program and try again!

Not a problem with the printer.reinstall office then copy documents again and then try to print.

Hello brown_clayto

The 9672 error usually occurs when there has been a problem with the driver software being unable to locate the files it needs to complete the adding of the printer queue. I have found this to be caused by other versions of driver files lurking around on the Mac. So I would try the following steps.

1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax. Highlight the Canon printer in the Printer list and click the minus ( - ) button.
2. Hold Control key and click in the empty Printers list. Click on Reset Printing System.
3. Close Print & Fax
4. Go to Library > Printers > Canon and delete the contents of the BJPrinter folder.
5. Go to Library > Receipts and delete the Canon driver package/s file. There could be more than one present in this folder. The file name will show Canon MP520 xxx.pkg
6. Go to Library > Preferences and delete the Canon folder.
7. Empty the Trash
8. Restart the Mac
9. Run the v6.9.3 driver installer again.
10. Once the driver installation is complete, go to Applications > Utilities and open Disk Utility. Run the Repair Disk Permissions option.
11. Now at this point connect the MP520 to your Mac via USB cable. Then open Print & Fax and see if the Canon printer is listed. If it is, try a test print.
12. If this works, then move the MP520 back to your Airport and use the More Printers > Canon IJ Network menu to add the wireless printer queue.

Hopefully this gets it working for you again, if not let me know

My printer prints blank pages when I want to print files from my computer, but works fine without a computer


If you don't use the printer often (at least once a month) you probably have cartridges drying up on you. If by chance you have an Epson or canon, the print head is inside the printer, so regardless of how many new cartridges you put in there, you will encounter the same problem.

If you are using a generic or third party ink, it may be too dense or of low quality clogging yourprint head.

You can try to run a bunch of print head cleanings. (your manual will tell you how) If by about 8 you are not seeing any improvement start with a new printer. Do a print head cleaning once a month ALWAYS as a preventative measure. This will ensure you get a long life out of your printer, and a top quality print from your cartridges.

Kindly check if the inks are properly installed, if it does not uninstall the drivers and reinstall it back. and restart you printer.

attempt to remove and reconnect the USB cable to both the computer and printer, reinstall your printer driver, and then make sure your printer settings is set to use your correct printer. you may also try to print a test page to confirm that the printer is still working.

That is alright , you need to re-install the drivers for it to work, shut down both machine, and connect the printer to the system, and power them back on, the system will recognize the printer it will also ask for the drivers please follow the instructions.
