try increasing needle thread tension

1. Turn the printer off and unplug the printer from the A/C outlet.
2. Open the printer and check the paper path for a paper jam or misfeed.
3. When the paper appears as crumpled or waded up, carefully remove all the jammed paper.
4. When the paper appears to be angled incorrectly, it may be misfeeding through the printer, remove the sheet of paper.
   • Remove the paper stock and reinsert the paper, make sure the paper guides are adjusted correctly.
5. Close the printer cover(s).
6. Plug the printer into the A/C outlet.
7. Turn the printer back on.
8. Resend the print job.

try changing the needle-flat side goes to the back of the machine
try rethreading the machine top & bobbin make sure to get every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is inserted in the bobbin case correctly

Hi, this is usually caused by either a jammed up motor, blown motor or a faulty power supply, either external or internal or both. If one is handy, these may be disassembled and the problem sorted out, either by un-jammimg the motor if jammed or replacement if burnt out, the PSU needs to be checked for volts out, If the Voltage of the external supply, if used, is OK, then suspect the internal PSU, the external unit can be replaced with any suitable same Voltage Current rating a power supply is a power supply as long as polarity is right you are all good.
However most often these types of units are beyond economic repair? Still there is never any harm if one doesn't wish to DIY to get a free "Quote" for repair from a suitable repair shop and go from there?

Most likely it's NOT the motor...If you can remove the entire timer box, or "Power Head", you will see that the main dial is easy to turn..remember..." Hi, this is a vey common fault.If you look down where the white runner is you should be able to see two grooves cut in the base of the unit.This is the guide for the white plastic arm you are referring to. What you need to do is take a paper clip, open it out so you have a pointed end available. Push it in to these grooves and run it along to the left hand side. You'll find paper debris is stuck in these grooves which prevents the printhead from pushing the white arm across enough so it will not return. Because the arm cannot get far enough to the left hand side it sticks and you will encounter paper jammimg under the plastic guide on top of the printer. This is a very common problem on this model of printer and the Oki 520

Most of the new printers have little springs that pop out and then it won't print. If you have tried to remove the paper from the front you might have damaged one of them or the little pins that go with them. If you have a warranty I would use it now.
