Hello attaboy. You may need to check you ac cord if the noise is in turntable, radio, & cassettte mod. If it has a 3 prong plug than you are missing a GND connection, in the cord or inside the unit. If it has a 2 prong plug than take it back or open it up and replace filter capacitors or bridge rectifiers in units power supply.

It sounds like you have too much pressure on the tone arm. Check the underside for springs. You might be able to remedy the problem the old fashioned way. Tape a coin onto the top of the tone arm, as far to the rear as possible. This will eliminate some of the downward pressure onto the record.
Hello - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned, or you have another issue with the door lock assembly or the timer and control board not communicating correctly.
