Each time I try to print a picture this message is displayed: The photo tray is blocked. Please adjust the tray and try again. I have reset the printer and no change. I have downloaded the hp print dr and it says everything checks o.k. I have taken all except one piece of photo paper out of the tray and still I get the error msg. Please help!
SOURCE: Fax
Hi,
Often, this type of problem is caused by the paper sensor which is nothing but a small switch activated with the presence of the paper(s) pressing on it, It would look like a small tab/lever that would move (to activate the switch) by the paper pushing against it. You would have to inspect this lever/switch and determine if it would move freely. It is very rare for the actual switch to go bad, often it would be just the tab/lever not depressing deep enough to engage said switch.
Hope that this beof initial idea/help. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

if u r printing from the memory card which is inserted in the printer..ensure that the PHOTO BUTTON on the printer is on..
You can also try to reset the printer by going to the SETTINGS/TOOLS menu (RENCH SYMBOL) and then look for the Factory Restore (Might be under "Preferences")

Definitely you have a problem with the printer.
That will not prevent you from sending faxes out, but did you try to make a copy?
If the machine sat idle for some time, the ink in the jets would have dried, but this will not generate any error messages.
There are cleaning kits available, and they usually work.
