My notebook works perfectly with my new monitor.
but my partners notebook doesnt work with the monitor. initially it works on the windows start up, but after a few seconds the screen changest to show the above message ' check signal cable'.
Make sure the refresh rate is set at 60 hertz before using the new monitor also check the display settings to see if they are set to use the external display also. Yours may automaticaly do this and your partners may not. If this does not help please let me know the type of notebook and monitor. Good Luck!
