Question about Apex Digital PF2725 27" TV

2 Answers

I just got an xbox 360 for christmas and I play it on my Apex PF 2725 tv. I have it connected to the first Video component with the red white and yellow cords (its set to TV and not HDTV) On all of my games the screen is cut off about an inch or so on the left and the top. I have adjusted the settings on the xbox from normal and widescreen (widescreen makes it slightly worse, but spreads everything out) The remote control has a button for picture but it only changes the lightning from memory theater and normal. I heard something about using the service mode but don't know how to access the menu.

Enter service mode on the TV. Depending on the model you need to follow a couple steps and once in the service menu you can change various settings such as vertical and horizontal height/size/etc. I had the same problem and a bit of playing around in the menu solved it within minutes

sorry I guess I should include how to get into service mode

    1. Turn your volume to 0

(This is where it depends on your TV)
2a. Hold mute (on remote), and press and hold the Video button on the front of your TV.
    -OR-
2b. Press the mute and video button (on remote or TV I don't know)

    3. Depending on your TV, you will have to navigate with either the directional arrows, or channel -/+ and volume -/+.

How do you get your xbox 360 to play, on a 65'' mitubishi projection tv,its connected but nothing comes on screen when i put a movie in just a blank screen and no sound,if i'm on a channel, the channel...

Hello

The Xbox 360 connects to a TV using either

- COMPONENT (red blue green for video, red and white for audio

- COMPOSITE (yellow for video, red and white for audio)

- HDMI

So, if your TV is on a "Channel", it is not on the correct input to view the Xbox 360.

Check the Xbox and verify which cables it is using to connect to the TV. When you find this, follow the cable to the back of the TV and find the input selection. It should be listed as the type and a number (i.e. HDMI 2, COMPONENT 1).

Have the Xbox on. Use the TV remote and use either the INPUT or the MENU options to change the input to the input that matches the port that the Xbox is connected to.

This should make the Xbox work.

When you are done with the Xbox, use the INPUT or MENU to change back to the tuner to watch TV.

Can I play in Hd on this team with component cables from my xbox 360 ?

Hello
You can give any video input to your Apex TV. Component input must be connected ot its DVD in sockets at its rear panel according to the markings[Cr, Cb, Y] from the source device. Audio must be connected to appropriate audio in sockets, and select the input to TV respectively. OK.

How should I hook up my xbox to the back of the television using the red, white, and yellow wires? It is hooked up but I am not getting any audio. Thank you.

First make sure your video cable is set to TV not HDTV

Then plug the 3 RCA cables into the color coded slots on the TV. Make sure you aren't using the red cable from the component RGB but are using the red cable for sound (next to the white one).

Then, if you still have no picture, start the console using the controllers Xbox button and hold "Y" and "RT" until the console restarts. this will reset the video settings on the 360 to default.

Follow this guide if you get confused:

and for the video reset about halfway down the page:

CONNECTING XBOX 360 TO A LCD PANASONIC VIERA TV

You need to Connect via, the Component Video, the xables are Blue, Red, Green, ALL Video, and go color to color, from, Xbox to TV, and you Select EXTERNAL INPUT, on TV. OR You must use the Composite, Video, which is Yellow, for Video, again, cables go color to color. The Audio, as you have discovered, is Red & White. Now, if using HDMI, you do not usually need the Red 7 White audio, as it's all in the one signal, though the HDMI. Again, you select the relevant, INPUT On the TV, And also select the output on the Xbox, and you should be all OK.

Pyramat 450 wireless sound rocker. Comes with white/yellow/red rca jacks, how would I install that to a xbox 360? The xbox will play through chair if I connect xbox input jacks to chair! But you then get...

You need to go buy another cable, get a good length red and white rca cable one that suits the distance between the chair and the xbox.
Then you need to get a female to female rca adapter. Connect the adapter to the ends of the red and white audio cables on xbox, connect your new rca cable to the adapters, connect the cable to your pyramat seat. Connect xbox tv cable to tv as normal.

Xbox 360 and bose surround sound no video

If your TV is HD, you should definitely be connecting the component video cables (green, blue and red) from the 360 to the TV (the 321 will not do video pass-thru from component cables). -Make sure you have a picture at this point. (TV switched to whichever input you connect the 360 to)
You can get an RCA extension cable for the audio portion (red and white) to connect to the 321 for audio. You could also connect an optical audio cable to the 321. An optical cable must be assigned from the system menu to work..
Let me know if this helps.
