I thank you but this suggestion did not work.

Thank you very much. I now think that I have more of a problem than I first thought. I do unplug the washer and pull the cycle control knob out and turn it counter-clockwise and it just turns or push the cck in and it just turns. So now I guess I need instructions on how to get the front panel open, I believe something is broken in the cycle control piece itself.

If you are talking about the Cycle Selection knob, turn the washer to an OFF position, or unplug. I can't remember if you need to pull the knob out or leave pushed in, but the knob will come off by turning it counter-clockwise. After unscrewing it and removing, the plastic dial under the center knob will simply pull off. I hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Are you sure? I just confirmed the drawings with the correct model number that you just now posted and the the timer control knob for your washer unscrews in a counter-clockwise direction to be removed. The rest of the control knobs on the front panel simply pull off. Perhaps you could send a photo or describe what you have done rather than leaving an adverse rating. I gave the best assessment I could with the information you provided.

I have a Kenmore 80 series model 110 24832200 washer which stopped working mid-cycle. It won't drain and when we attempt to change the cycle or restart it the machine only buzzes. Thoughts?

These machines are direct drive and have a plastic drive coupler which fails. Unplug machine and pull away from wall careful of water and drain connections. Tilt machine back for access to bottom look for the drive coupler between the motor and transmission. It is white plastic on each end with a black rubber piece sandwiched in between. You should be able to tell if it is broken by just moving it by hand. Replace this part and you should be back in business.

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)

Kenmore 80 series model 110 after wash clothes are left soaking

when empty and off, open the lid and see if you can rotate the inner wash basket by hand. if you can easily, then the clutch is worn. This will prevent the basket from going into a high spin and wringing the clothes out. Replace the clutch by removing the top control panel, removing the clips that hold the cabinet, pull cabinet off, remove drain pump clips and pump, remove motor clips and motor, remove transmission (3 bolts). Now you will have access to the clutch, replace as needed, reverse dissasembly to complete. remember to unplug.

Kenmore 80 series wont run at all

If you suspect you have a defective timer it can easily be replaced by performing the following steps:

1. Unplug washing machine... and pull out the timer knob. Some knobs have a removeable center cap and hidden screw. Some are simply slip-fit. Remove the knob.

2. Remove console. This can be accomplished in one of two ways depending on which type of console you have.

a. If the console has removable end caps, the caps lift off by prying on the top from the back of the washer.
The cap will pull off towards you as you are facing the unit from the front of the washer.
There will be a screw under each end cap that you will need to remove.

b. If the console does not have removable end caps, you will need to slide a putty knife under the front corner of each side and push in while lifting up.
There is a retaining clip under each side that has to be released.

3. Once the console has been released it will lift up and fold back over the back of the washer in its resting position. Use care not to stress the small plastic hinges that hold it on. They can break easily.

4. Disconnect all power plugs and remove the timer's mounting screws.

5. Reinstall reverse of removal.

Kenmore washing machine 80 Series 110 20802 990 Will not agitate or spin"

You need to replace the Kenmore Washer Lid Switch. I had the same problem so being lazy I would just push down on the washer's lid and it would push the lid switch further down. making the water drain. after a while I just replaced the lid switch.
