try formatting and resetting your mp3 player to factory settings( procedure will be specified in instruction manual) and upgrade the software using the firmware manager that came with the device in the form of installation cd.... hope your problem is tackled. thanks for using fixya!. please dont forget to rate my solution.
I think I have a solution. If you're using Windows Media Player like you're supposed to, click the sync button in the top menu bar. if it says click here to sync device slick there and it'll pop up a menu telling you to name your Sansa and click ok and you should be good to go.
Do you use Napster by any chance? Some music services actually remove songs after the subscription expires, or if you haven't synced your Sansa to that service within 30 days. Convert all songs to mp3 format, and you will not have that format.
Also, your DB could have become corrupt. A firmware upgrade usually resolves it.
Actually you cannot delete them from your mp3. you gotta connect it via usb to your pc, go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync pane in windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete. Hope this helps
If you still not able to delete it let me know so I can have you try something else...
P.S.Please rate accordingly...
ive had this same problemo. you cant use the media converter to drag and drop songs. you have to download your songs or rip them onto windows media player. you plug in the sansa and then when its recognized there will be an area on the right hand side where you drag the songs and they appear on sansa.
alright now um you have a problem so what i do first is clear your sync list so nothings on there if not theres an easy way without syncing what you do is go to my music on the start menu copy paste the songs you want to the mp3 and you should be fine how you do this is once copied the songs go to my computer and and look for the name of the mp3 or a name that says mass storage device and paste in side the mass storage device if you need anymore help contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org good luck!!
