Question about BenQ Joybook 5000 Notebook
Trying to upgrade my Joybook 5000 WiFi card, I discovered that something (probably a bios issue) allow not to turn on the WIFI transmission (pressing FN+F12 keys) if a card different from the original Intel 2100 3B (802.11b) is installed in the Mini-Pci slot.
How can I successfully upgrade to a 802.11g card such the intel 2200BG I bought?
Yeah, i'd be willing to bet that you're right - it's a BIOS issue. you can try flashing your BIOS with the version on the manufacturer web site but honestly i'm not sure if that would help ya.
