Something in the mechanism is bound up from a motor if used to the electrical power supply used for other features---don't keep tripping the breaker or sooner or later you will have smoke.

Nordictrack elite 900 - Does not power on

Sorry to hear that your NordicTrack Elite 900 treadmill stopped working. Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the treadmill is plugged into a working electrical outlet and the power cord is securely connected to the treadmill.
  2. Check the circuit breaker: Locate the circuit breaker on the treadmill and make sure it hasn't tripped. If it has, reset it and see if the treadmill powers on.
  3. Check the safety key: If the safety key is not properly inserted or damaged, the treadmill will not power on. Make sure the safety key is securely in place and not damaged.
  4. Check the fuse: Some treadmills have a fuse on the power supply board or control board. You can check the owner's manual to see if your treadmill has a fuse and where it's located. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same rating.
  5. Check the motor: If the motor is faulty, the treadmill will not power on. You can use a multimeter to test the continuity of the motor. If the motor is not working, you may need to replace it.
  6. Check the control board: If the control board is not working properly, the treadmill will not power on. You can test the control board with a multimeter to see if it's receiving power and sending signals to other components.
If you're not comfortable troubleshooting these issues on your own, it may be best to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for assistance.

Why did my treadmill stop abruptly while in use?

Your assumption is correct, if you have a household circuit breaker popping, you have a short or over current situation. If you have too many other things plugged into the same circuit you could be overloading that breaker. Depending on how your home is wired, you could have a few (older homes may have quite a few) outlets feed by a single breaker. If you have used the treadmill in that outlet (with the same items plugged into that circuit), the breaker it's self MIGHT be going bad (popping at too low of current).

For safety, inspect the power cord, for any damage, and be replaced if there is any.

If the power core is undamaged, I would try plugging the treadmill in another circuit. Choose an outlet that was not affected when the breaker popped. It you use an extension cord to get to another outlet, be sure it's rated for enough current. If it still pops the same breaker it's the same circuit, and you need to plug it in somewhere else (probably in another room). If a different breaker pops, then the short in in your treadmill. At this point you will need to know something about electricity to further isolate the short.

My dynamix treadmill the red power light comes on but the circiut board not powering up

I suggest checking your power plug then check or reset the circuit breaker or fuse holder on the treadmill next to the cord if that ok and the unit is still dead. Unplug unit the remove motor shroud and if you own a multi meter start checking the AC all the way to the lower board and see where the Ac is missing.
If the Voltage is good to the board then check DC Out put going the console wire harness should have 5v or 12v DC depending on model if missing then replace lower board, if present, then check the continuity of wire harness if bad replace harness. If good upper console needs to be replaced

Treadmill will not operate when plugged up.

check the outlet first by plunging in a light to make sure their is power and that the house breaker was not tripped. then plug in the power cord next locate the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Switch the circuit breaker to the reset position. Then place safety key on console and the display should light up if not then you may have a lower board problem.

I left the red key in epic view 550 for 1 full day, next day when discovered now treadmill will not start, no lights, no noise, nothing!! Help

Check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes as shown, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset the circuit breaker, wait for five minutes and then press the switch to the reset position.
