How to change decimal point

If you want all entries and answers to have two numbers after the decimal, you should have a lever or slide that shows F,6,3,2,1,0. Some also show Add. Set the lever on the 2 or add. F means floating decimal. the others indicate how many numbers after the decimal.

Check the Decimal / Add Selector. It shoul be set to "A" (Add mode), to permit addition and subtraction of numbers without entry of the decimal point.

Your calculator has a decimal counter (top center of calculator starting with the letter F654321A) for lack of a better name for it. Anyway mine is set at A. It puts the decimal in for me. I hope this helps you. if you haven't figured it out by now.

EL 1801V - how to set time/date?

To change the date, enter the date in MM.DD.YY format, pressing the decimal key between the month and day (will show as a decimal on the display) and the day and year (will show as a dash on the display). Then, press the Time/Date key (the one that looks like a clock and a calendar). The new date will show on the display. Note that if the month is less than 10, you do need to press the 0 (zero) key for the first digit, even though it will not show on the display. To change the time, enter the time in 24-hour HH.MM format, pressing the decimal key between the hour and minute. Then, press the Time/Date key. The new time will show on the display. Note that if the hour is less than 10, you do need to press the 0 (zero) key for the first digit, even though it will not show on the display. Hope this helps! :)

I lost my decimal point

You need to be in add mode, and have 2 decimal places selected for the result.
To change to add mode, make sure the 'K . A' switch is in the 'A' position. To get 2 decimal places in the answer, move the selector in the 'F 6 3 2 1 0' switch to the '2' position.

You can see the above described at

this Sharp.com page which shows the users manual. The manual shows examples.
