Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

My Sony DSC-H2 settings recently changed somehow so that my images are really small (360x270). Help! How do I make them the larger size I'm accustomed to?

Hi,
Go to Camera Menu and select Initialize option, select Yes and OK
Camera will reset and power up with factory default settings.

5 megapixels or more. In general, unless you're really tight on space or know you're not going to need the resolution, set your camera to its highest resolution (8 megapixels in your case) and leave it there. You can always make a large picture smaller; you can't make a small picture larger.

Blurres LCD image and blurred photos

1 suspect dirt on the lens ensue the lens is cleaned with proper cloth and fluid.
2 suspect auto focus sensor is defective or blocked ensure the little windows on the front are clear and fingers do not cover them while taking pictures.

3 suspect camera is set in macro setting, Macro only has a depth of field of a few centimeters any subject outside this field will be out of focus but his may not be visible on the small viewing screen on the camera but becomes apparent when images are viewed at larger sizes.
change camera setting to landscape or portrait setting.

Sony DSC-P3 Zoom stopped working

i had that same problem. check your image size, the camera cant zoom if the image size is set to 3.1M or 2.8M(3:2)

how to change image size:
turn on camera and leave it in camera mode (picture taking mode)
press the delete/image button
change image size until camera zooms again
VGA gives the biggest zoom range

i hope this helps
it worked on my camera

Two images gets over lapped

you have a defective memory stick.
get a genuine Sony stick, even though it costs more than the fake stuff.

lies all lies!. first turn on your camera and check what resolution the images are set to record at. turn your camera to picture taking mode and press the trash button once. then you will see the available resolutions you can shoot at. i recomend 4M since it is the highet quality the cam supports. make sure it is on that and your images will always be super massive. the sony DSC-S40 is way to simple and cheap to have a complex menu like other cameras, so i do not see how your problem is possible unless you were shooting a VGA res(640x480) which is very small and only good for places like myspace. on your camera screen when trying to view a 640x480 picture, you would only beable to hit the zoom button maybe once or twice. you cannot zoom in far like the larger resolution images because there is nothing to zoom into. this is the whole point of high resolution pictures. to be hig res, which allows larger images to be shows with clearity. i hope i answered the quiestion.
