I only use my breadmaker to bake gluten-free bread, which is "9" on the menu choices. The last time I used it, the menu button would only bring up "1" and not change them. And the machine just seems to start at the setting, no matter what I do. I've tried unplugging it for as long as five minutes, but it starts up with that same setting and won't budge off it. Is there any fix for this? Thanks for whatever you can tell me.
Plug your machine in and push the menu button again and again are the numbers changing from program to program? If not push the start/stop button with no ingredients in it and if it starts kneading wait a few seconds then push the start/stop button again UNTIL IT BEEPS AND STOPS. Unplug the machine and plug it in again and the program 1 should show again, just push the Menu button until you see the number 9 program. Did that work?
SOURCE: Can't remove the bread pan
The same thing happened to me yesterday. I made my first loaf and then I couldn't get the bread pan out. We kept pulling and yanking on the bread pan until it felt like it was going to break! This morning, my husband called Cuisinart. The man on the phone said he has the same machine at home, and that you just have to pull it really hard. He said don't worry, it won't break, just pull it. My husband pulled it again and it came out. I guess he just got the right angle on it.
It was definitely stuck from the bottom, not from the side clamp things. The man on the phone at Cuisinart said that after you use it more, it becomes easier to remove the bread pan. We put the bread pan in and then pulled it out a few times, and it seems like now it comes out easily, the way it should.
I felt obliged to respond here, because I was very discouraged after reading this thread last night. I was about to return the machine. I hope this solution helps.
By the way, my first loaf yesterday was the Rosemary Bread from the cookbook that comes with the machine. It was AMAZING.

Cuisinart has many different bread machine models. Next time you ask a question, please include a model number. Thank you. Addressing Power-up/Start-up Issues: 1. Unplug the breadmaker. 2. Confirm the power source you're accessing is live using a blender, toaster, etc. 3. Plug the breadmaker in. 4. Confirm the breadmaker is receiving power: Were you able to confirm that your breadmaker is receiving power? No. Sorry to hear that. Attempt to have the breadmaker serviced by a small appliance repair facility or simply discard it. Yes, Fantastic! Now reboot the breadmaker's electronics by pressing and holding down the Stop button down until you receive a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 1 to 5 seconds. Note: Some models require you press and hold the Start button. Others require you press and hold the Select button. Often the + and - Timer Delay buttons are pressed by mistake, delaying Start by up to 12 hours. If you suspect the Timer Delay feature has been engaged accidentally, you'll need to reboot the breadmaker's electronics. All breadmaker use a belt and pulley system. If your breadmaker powers-up but the mixer won't turn when it's supposed to, your belt is probably broken. You'll need to disassemble the breadmaker to visually confirm.
Here's my generic best advice for you dear:
