Hi Yes the 2013 style sub seat can be fitted to a 2005 chassis. Where the sub seat connects into the chassis there will be a plastic clip on either side of the 2013 sub seat that will need to be removed in order for the sub seat to then fit into a 2005 chassis.
We do not advise doing so. The Quinny Buzz seat unit should only be used with a Quinny Buzz chassis and likewise the Maxi Cosi Foray seat unit should only be used with a Maxi Cosi Foray chassis. A combination of the two has not been tested or approved for safety standards and we cannot guarantee the safety of using such a combination.
Hi
The seat is lifted from the chassis and re-fitted in parent facing position.
To remove the seat from the chassis, press down on the grey buttons either side of the seat unit.
If you have tightened all visable screws this indicates that the rivets need replacing, which unless you have a rivet gun you cannot do yourself. If the Buzz is under 2 years old return to your retailer with proof of purchase and they will send it to the engineers under warranty terms and conditions. If it is over 2 years old or you do not have proof of purchase contact 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30 to book in for chargeable inspection/repair work required. Standard charge 72GBP which includes courier collection and delivery.
The original Quinny Buzz 2005/2006 chassis is not suitable for fitting the current seat fabric. However you can purchase a sub seat (seat frame) which will fit onto your chassis (RRP 75GBP) and the current seat fabric will fit onto that (RRP 40GBP). The Quinny Dreami carrycot is suitable for use on any Quinny Buzz chassis. You can order the sub seat and seat fabric via your local Quinny retailer or direct from the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30.
Hi new frame should be ok, the only frame that is different is the older 2005 frame, if you remove your seat unit and check the posts on your seat unit (the bits that slot onto the buzz chassis) if they are both the same and have rounded ends then this is the older model and wont fit the newer frames, but if one of the posts is rounded and the other is shaped like a turret then all the frames 2006 onwards will be ok. :)
Hi did it click into place when you put it on? Also take the seat out & just check the holes it fits into, if the 2 grooves match up then you need to put your finger inside it & move it forwards very slightly say 1" now try to attatch the seat.
I have the same problem, its as if the hinges aren't tight, is there a way of striping it down and tightening everything up?
