Re: screen to stay open

If you are mechanical incline then open up the unit and remove a couple of gears. It will have two motors, one to slide the screen in/out and one to flip it up/down. Remove one of the gear next to each motor and make sure no other one will fall or pop out of place to cause jam later. Now you can operate the unit in manual mode(by hand, lol). Be very careful and remember what goes where and handle loose pieces gently or you might creat more problems than fixing it. I charge $50 shipped to perform the same service. Goodluck.

I get sound but no picture

Try pointing a flash light at the screen if you se something then you got a bad backlight in the lcd display, meaning the unit will need a new screen as the backlight is part of these mini displays 9 times out of ten that is what it is.

Thanks and please do leave postive feedback and ratings for your free answer today.

DNX7100 screen stays down

Disconnect the negative cable from your battery for a few minutes, we had the same thing happen when we first bought ours. We found the fix on Crutchfield's website.

Quit working

check your car's fuse, if it is burned it means you might need a more powerful one. Mine has a 15 amp and works fine.

Motorized Screen gets stuck sometimes - Any fix for it?

Mine does this too, it need a new gear for the actual flip out, if you send it to Alpine they will fix it for around 25 to 30$$.
