Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Dated desktop using an old pc at moment but it has windows xp2000, installed usenext no problem but it won't open! i also get the message" unable to open, unknown provider" quite often when downloading! i'm guessing that there are updates that i need but have no clue as to what!!

Windows 2000 is no more and use for updates, is expire.

did you just up date iexplorer not sure. it is what is sounds like un install the latest version of iexplorer. all the way back to vers 6 then in stall ver 7 and this should fix you problem

Error message stops install of windows xp


Open the case of the computer and look for a battery on the mother board ( looks like a large watch battery ) remove this for about 20 minutes. Put it back and re-boot the pc. You will have to reset the date and time.

Resetting the time and date


Hi,

you can simply change it.

Go to the clock on the down right cornet of your desktop and double click on that.

Now you can change the date and time in the opened window and save it.

Restart the machine for the new date/time to take effect.

Try these combinations..
windows key + Tab or Alt + Tab

Try Ctrl + Tab

Then Tab or Shift + Tab until you get the the desired account. Then hit Enter
