Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

Office 2007 will not install

I am attempting to install Office 2007 Professional Plus on my laptop running Windows XP, after having uninstalled Office 2000. About 1/3 of the way through the installation process, I receive a message that install cannot locate Publisher.en-us\PubLR.cab. I am asked to browse and find this file. No matter where I direct the installer, I then receive a message that it is not a valid location. The installer then cancels. I have tried installing from the cd, from the hard drive, I have downloaded the Publisher files from the web, left them zipped, unzipped them, and so forth. Can anyone help, please?

    Dear Mona21,
Thanks for the advice. I certainly have rebooted the computer. I also have run a couple of utility programs to tidy up the registry, I have run disk cleanup and defrag, and I have uninstalled several unrelated programs that I no longer use, in the hope of getting rid of anything that might potentially interfere with the installation. I also have disabled Symantic Antivirus and the Windows Firewall.
After you posted the information you did, I placed the Publisher files in that location, both zipped and unzipped. Nothing thus far has worked at all. Any additional advice, please? Thank you.

The problem is not one of a scratched disk. I also have copied the installation cd onto the hard drive and attempted installation that way. It copies without a problem. Looking at what is on the hard drive, the files are indicated to be present. I also have downloaded the necessary files from the web.

You were correct! When I acquired a different installer disc, it then installed without a problem. Thanks very much for your help.

Firstly, If you have a previous version. It MUST be completely removed through add/remove program or the new install wont work.
Secondly, before u start installing office 2007 go to start run and type msconfig on the system configuration window go to the last tab startup and click on disable all than go to the tab services put a check in front of hide all microsoft services and than click on disable all click on apply and than click on close it will ask u to restart the comp go ahead and do that and than try installing office 2007 on the comp

As 1 particular file is not getting installed from your cd .this will have to be replaced from another cd.just try if you have any another cd.or check out this cd with any other pc.as this will create same problem in that also.if it creates then its possible that you will have to get another software cd to download the windows version.u can also download from the internet sites.

If The Problem Persists Use The Search Option In Your Start Menu To Locate The File. Once Located Make A Copy Of It And Save It To Your System32 File Or In A Folder On Your Desktop. Then When Microsoft Asks For It Go To Desktop Folder And Select The File You Just Placed There.

This can be a problem with the installer that you have , because there's a big chance that some part of it is corrupted that's why the installation is not being completed, you can try to use a different installation cd if possible...

I have xp i have 512 MB RAM and P3 processer but i cant not install ms office 2007

In order to install any software, it is imperative to ensure that the computer in question meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

Foremost, Microsoft Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 require a CD-ROM or DVD drive. Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 requires a DVD drive.

Microsoft Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise/Ultimate 2007 requires a system that has at least 500 MHz (since a Pentium III can range in speed from 450 MHz to 1.4GHz, it seems likely that you've met this specification); & at least 256 MB of RAM (your system's 512 MB meets this & is the minimum amount recommended for Outlook Instant Search).

However, you did not make mention of which service pack (1, 2, or 3) that is installed on your version of MS Windows XP (MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise/Ultimate 2007 requires at least SP2); nor did you mention how much free disk space is on your system. MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student 2007 requires at least 1.5 GB (MS Office Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 requires at least 2 GB of free disk space & MS Office Ultimate 2007 requires at least 3 GB of free disk space. Also, MS Office Basic/Standard/Home & Student/Professional/Small Business/Professional Plus/Enterprise 2007 requires an Internet browser comparable to at least Internet Explorer 6 (IE6).

By the way, OneNote Instant Search & OneNote Audio Search require a CPU of at least 2 GHz & at least 1 GB of RAM. 1 GB of RAM is also the minimum requirement for grammar & contextual spelling in Word. Business Contact Manager requires a CPU of at least 1 GHz & at least 512 MB of RAM. Since you did not mention your exact iteration of MS Win XP (Home/Professional/Professional 64-Bit), it is important to note that "Send to OneNote 2007" print driver, Internet Fax, & Groove Folder Synchronization are not available on 64-bit operating systems.

Furthermore, I do not find it reasonable to quote any more specifications such as those for MS Office Accounting products unless found necessary, besides such specs are readily available at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/2007-microsoft-office-release-system-requirements-HA010166865.aspx?CTT=1.

It is entirely possible that the cause of installation failure could be a faulty optical disk drive (CD/DVD/etc.) an invalid product key or perhaps an operating system (OS) which the installation deems to not be genuine.

Trouble installing microsoft office 2007 on a dell laptop

That particular file cabinet that you really should find on a properly registered version of Microsoft Office for English in the US as a registration number will be necessary to fully install Office.

Call Microsoft, and tell them that it's not there, though it should be.

Supply them your C(ertificate O(f) A(uthencity) and you should be good to go.

No Has Been Able To Solve This Office 2007 Pro Problem, Can You?

Hi,
The problem is the feature you tried istalling might have corrupted the OS. What you can try doing is create new user account first , restart your computer into the new user computer and then try installing. If the same still doesnot work , then my friend the only solution would be to reinstall windows xp and then put office 2007.

Thanks
