Well it depends, i know how to save the ringtones that people blue tooth or send me, but i have tha same problem saving them if im on FUN FOR MOBILE, so im guessing this model doesnt. on the other hand too save them when people send you ring tones you totally can.. what you do is download the message, then you click where the middle button say's BROWSE.. Hit BROWSE then click on OPTIONS, click where it says "USE HIGHLIGHT", then click SAVE to PHONE.. then check in your media under tunes, then the ringtone should be there. now i hope i can have help with my problem, tha question is can our phone download free ringtones?? please email me..

SOURCE: How do I save ringtones to my ZTE C78 phone?

Go to the website myxer.com and you can download ringtones. the trick is to download the ringtone twice. it will save to your phone. the only drawback is that you can't hear the ringtone before you download it, but you can always try again. this is a free ringtone site.

How i did it ?????????????
One thing is for sure it annoys me that sites like Fixya advertize things for free . So you cycle through through the pages only to find out its not .
Thats how I did not do it.
Stop doing that **** if its free then there is no charge ever

Free Downloads for ZTE C79 Cell Phone from MetroPCS

WHat up? Ok to get the ringtones to your phone (which I have searched for two days to find a solution) do the following

1.) get your desired .mp3, or .mid ringtone file and have it on your pc.
2.) log into your email (yahoo, hotmail, etc), create an email and attach the .mp3 file. Make sure the .mp3 file in under 500k in size.
3.) in to TO: box enter the following ,<yourphonenumber>@mymetropcs.com and send it.
4.) check your message box when your phone chimes.
5.) press the Get button to download the file to your phone. If your file is over 500k it may not download.
6.)Now go to your inbox
7.) press the Browse button to stop the file from playing.
8.) make sure the file is selected, press the Up button (Top outter ring of the middle menu button)
9.) press the options button, select "use higlighted object" and save it to your phone.
10.) the file will now be in the MyTUnes folder and you can now set it as your main ringtone or a contact ring tone. (I'm typing this from memory so my menu selection names may be off a little but this shold get yall going. I was HYPE when I found this solution. I'm now searching on how to get the games on it.

Hope this helps!

I have a zte c79 cellphone that has an mp3. player the phone came without the software disk to install the program that enables me to transfer mp3's and pictures. however it came with the USB cord. but...

when you plug in the usb cord somtimes i'll get a box asking what i want to use windows media player or open a folder with the contense. Then some times i get the add new hardware wizard which doesnot find the program to run the hardware correctly.
so the only way i found to load mp3s onto the ZTE C79 is to get a micro sd car and reader. when i plug i in a box comes up with the same results windows media player or a folder option i click the folder option. and if you have mp3s in your windows media player then right click on a song and open file location it will then tell you wether they are mp3 format or wahat drag and drop the mp3 format songs into the my music folder which is in the removable disk folder . As long as they are mp3 they will play on the phone. as for ringtones the only way i found to load them is to actually record them with the record memo tool in tools. which sucks because they usually end up being all distorted or very low volume. So if anyone know how to load ringtones please let me know
