Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

F 02 code

We took the filter off, it was completely clogged. We cleaned it all out, now still getting the code which according to the manual it's the pump. Do we need a new pump? It seems to be pumping water o.k.

These small drain pumps are easily damaged by debris and foreign matter clogging the impeller. If anything has been left in the pump for any significant period of time, the impeller or drive motor may have been damaged. The error code is caused when the Central Control Unit (CCU) fails to detect a completed drain within a prescribed time interval (usually 6 to 8 minutes, depending on model). The pump may still run, but may not be pumping enough volume to drain within that prescribed time (I hope this makes sense). In a nut shell, if cleaning the pump and drain lines does not correct the problem, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drain pump. Replacements can be ordered on line at searspartsdirect.com, repairclinic.com, or appliancepartspros.com. All three sites offer competitive pricing, so check with all three for the best price.

I hope this answers your question. If you need assistance in replacing the pump, or have further questions, please let me know.

I have a 1776 Asko model & it doesn't finish its cycle-code mesage f-2 keeps appearing. Can you help me out.

Hi
F2 is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

My LG Washer Model #WT5101H, Does this machine have a filter that could get clogged up on the drain side during rinse and spin? If it does I think that the filter got clogged up and the pump motor burned...

I just fixed our WT5101H. It was not draining. The drain pipe, when held down to the ground, would flush out the water just fine, but when it was in the wall drain it did not register. Here's what I did:
Took off the back panel. Located the drain pump and removed it from the base it sits on. I noticed right away than one of the connected wires was completely off. Maybe from the motion of the washer it had removed itself. We electrical taped the wiring to remain snug and presto... we have drainage working again.
I took apart the drain pump to clean it out, and now we do have some leaking since I could not get the unit back together as complete and as sealed... might have to get some caulking or something to keep the little drips away.

The screen on my washer is saying the code LD i dont have a manual and it wont drain completly. I took my clothes out and they were completly soaked with water. HELP! :D

The LD fault code indicates that the washer took longer than 5 minutes to pump out the water and reset the water level pressure switch. You should be able to press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

Check you drain hose for kinks or clogs. You could have a clog or failure in the drain pump that is causing this problem

The G.E.dishwasher has water standing. first it was the clogged sink. I took the pipes out and unclogged them. Now it is the d.w.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

As the water did not drain completely then check the drain hose & drain pump filter for any clogs/obstructions, if you have already cleaned these parts and the unit will not work then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a Fisher & Paykel dish drawer model number DD603 and it is not draining. Any tricks?

Hi

Dishwasher not pumping issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you’ll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.

Please check the parts manual for your dishwasher, check the drain pump & drain filter's location from the link---

Fisher and Paykel Dishwasher DD603 Parts Manual

Please note that dishwashers don’t pump out the complete water such that heating element doesn’t overheat. Please post back for any further assistance.

My duet whirlpool stops at the rinse or spin cyle and gives error code F02. I cleaned out the drain pump strainer twice and got much out of it. It still errors. I took th epum completely apart last...

"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump
