Question about Denon AVR-1905 Receiver

Intermittent Audio when set on "tuner"

We own a Denon AVR-1909 - when source is set on "tuner" we get an intermittent audio - the radio band (both FM and AM) is heard for a couple of seconds, is off for a couple of seconds, on for a couple of seconds......continuously. Any ideas? We are using a Harmony 890 remote control to operate all of our devices, but this problem occurs even if we turn the receiver on manually. We are not having any other audio problems - only when source is "tuner". Any ideas?

You may have to ( first unplug it from the wall) then pull the top case.
Locate the tuner board , it will be the one with the antenna connections sticking out the rear of the rec'r.
If there's some way to pull the circuit board up and out of a socket/sockets , try that and re-install it.

Other than that I may be able to help you find a good tech.

I can't seem to get the tuner to work on my Denon AVR 2803 receiver.

It can't hurt.

You will lose all your settings though. So you'll have to set the amp up again from scratch.

Before you do initialise, let's just check.... You plugged in a FM or AM aerial, right?

Denon avr-1909 has sound but no video, tried everything!!

Denon requires that you assign video to specific ports. HDMI, RCA or any other- you have to select which type and which port and you will get video.

My radio reception is intermittent

Check your antenna and antenna cable. Many devices has switching power supplies with can interfere with the receiver like a computer, laptop, dect home phone, printers, fax etc. Also could be something outside like rf tower. you may try other receiver/fm tuner to see if it has the same recption problems. If you find that your receiver is no good you need to replace internal FM tuner.

I have a Denon AVR-1707 with a center, 2 front speakers, and surround sound back speakers. When set to FM radio, all speakers work. When set to TV, only one side speaker works. Any ideas? It worked fine...

Follow the sound back to its source. FM is internal so it can't possibly have a cabling issue.

I imagine your TV sound ultimately originates from a cable box which has a nice juicy digital output that the Denon could use. Why route audio through a TV, like the manuals tell you, when you can get it straight to the best audio device without a detour to a TV and its dubious audio electronics?

Denon AVR 1910 - no sound from v-aux or tuner

The tuner is the best source for testing audio issues from a receiver since it uses an internal source for audio. This problem could be two separate issues. Check the tuning in the tuner to make sure it is on a station that you are receiving. The newer Denons will not play any audio is the station is not coming in. Be sure your antenna is connected and tune the station to one that comes in clear.
What source is hooked up to the V. Aux? If an iPod it is common that the volume on the ipod is down .

Denon avr-1909 crackling sound while watching Uverse HD.

It may may the the AT+T box is really not compatible with the AVR or the Pioneer.

Check the specs on those input/outputs for the Ubox and the receiver.
See if they agree. If so, try another hookup method like HDMI ( which carries the audio too)
