Earlier today I printed off from MSWord just fine, and WPerfect works just fine, but now when I try to print from MSWord it shows "NO PAPER - Reload Paper in MP tray" Again, WPerfect works, MSWord doesn't. We've tried reloading paper; turning paper over; making sure the 14-in. potential button is in lock position for 11-in. running; cancelling print job and restarting printer; turning off computer and rebooting; replaced toner cartridge . . . nothing works. Need to get print job done tonight for church in the morning. Any help?? Thanks much! Grace
I had the same problem with a customer, to resolve this issue:
> Go to the printers folder
> Right click on the printer
> Go to printing preferences
> Under the paper source settings change it from autoselect to Tray1 and save the settings.
This will force the printer to print to tray1.
That fixed it for me, hope it works for you too.

Having same problem. Have forced to tray 1 on computer and printer. Tried new documents, print settings, page setup, print preview, everything else. Every time it tries to print to the MP tray which has no paper in it. Loading paper doesn't do anything either.
Try opening up a new Word document and recreating the one you are trying to print. I tried all the above recommended solutions to no avail.
I restarted the entire system, no joy.
Then I recreated the document by copy/pasting. Worked without a hitch. Something was imported into the original Word doc that caused this problem.
What is happening is the gear wheels in the tray are not being turned by the gears in the top sides of the paper tray slot. White plastic gears not very strong. Your paper tray may be too full. Reload it make sure the white gears move freely to lift paper, restart the machine. Listen to the squeek of the paper lifting mechanism.
If the paper isn't lifted on restart because the paper is too much or snagged the actual physical movement of paper in the tray and restarting could help. Worked for me and I went through all the stuff above.
To fix this in Word 2007:
Click Office menu, mouseover Print, click Print Preview, click the little corner icon next to Page Settings, click the Paper tab, make sure the paper source is set to Default (or Auto Select) for both columns, select Apply to Whole Document in the drop-down box at the bottom, then click OK.
It sounds like the setting for the paper source is set to the side manual feed tray. Make sure the side cover is completely closed and if there is a setting on the keyboard showing where the paper will come from make sure it is set for the front tray. Also check the settings on the printer driver that pops up when you go to print. It should be under "printing preferences"

I had the same problem and in trying to troubleshoot it, I found out it was getting "No Paper" with just one Word document. I went into "Page Setup" and then "Page" for that document, found paper sources were set to "Manual", changed them both to "Page 1", then re-sent document to print and it worked!

John, thanks much for your response. When you say "side" cover, I assume you mean side as opposed to top and bottom, not as opposed to front and back. The only tray on the printer is at the bottom of the front.
It prints just fine from MSWord drawn from a fresh open page, but not from an e-mail attachment or a Saved As document. (Just to reiterate, it prints TOTALLY fine from WPerfect, any source.) It WAS printing from both MSWord e-mail attachment AND Saved As document until just yesterday ... I'd done it both ways the day before, with no problem.
I tried "Tray 1" and "Auto Select" (though not "MP Tray" or "Manual"), both ways, both programs, and either one works w/WPerfect, and either works from fresh open page w/MSWord, but not from e-mail or Saved As document in MSWord.
So, if you have anything beyond your initial response, I would appreciate your help. I hate to rate/rank your response, since the book's not closed on it yet (I HOPE!), and I do so appreciate your attempt, which I also so hope will be your homerun!!
Cordially,
Grace
The printer produced a message that said, "no paper". There appeared to be nothing wrong with the printer. A test print page was able to be printed. What the problem turned out to be was a document that was emailed to me had a paper tray setting to a paper source that didn't exist on my printer. When the setting was changed to "Auto Select" in the printer settings for that document, all started to work as normal.
When I tried to print labels, there are always same messages, "Reload paper in MP tray". MS-Work, MS-Excel, everything except printing labels works fine. Please help me
I have the exact same problem.
