I purchased a samsung clx-2160 and the scanner portion of the unit will not work with my mac. It works great with my piece of junk dell.... Something about the driver or "twain"compatability issues I guess. Could you help?

It seems that there are no Samsung CLX-2160 firmware reset/fix, if i'll find something i'll keep you posted

check that the scanner lamp is coming back to it's home position. you may have to clean the rails that the scanning lamp rides on

Download and install the most recent driver from the below website. Please getback if there is any problem.

Go to printer properties and check whether you have selected print in grey mode and also check whether you have selected the economic mode. Rectify the same will solve your problem.

On the drum unit, the bit that the toners go in is the drum it is a unit off to the side of it, heres a pic of the waste unit...

Just click on the Driver tab under Downloads and choose the correct Scan Driver for your operating system.

That is the correct cartridge. It should look and work the same. Is this a Samsung cartridge or one from a third party, ie: Office Depot, OfficeMax?
Whenever you see metal on cartridges, that means it is a grounding point. I would take it back where you purchased it and have them compare it with another new one. Take your old one with you.
