Basically, you need access and loop/connect around 2 pulleys using a long screw-driver to assist when looping your final pulley. The pulleys are metal; circular in shape; older models have 3 pulleys (water pump).

When looping your belt onto your final pulley, I typiclly use and wedge a long screw-driver in-between the pulley and belt, while simultaneously rotating the metal pulley to completely loop the belt on.

Do I keep my old Kitchenaid extra capacity or keep the new GE GTWP1000

The GE has a capacity of 3.3 cubic feet. You did not list the model of the kitchenaid. Make sure the GE was stored correctly because if it might have lost oil or gotten brittle belts or gaskets. Also it might have frozen.

My GE Dryer that is around 3 years old squeals or screeches loudly when drum it moving. What could be causing this and is it possible to take apart a new GE Dryer yourself?

its a chore but can be taken apart.... the unit most likely either has bad rollers or the belt tensioner which is under tub is bad... has a wheel on the tensioner that guides belt adn could have a bad bearing ....good luckkkkk

My ryobi oss450 has stoped oscillating. Is there anything I can do to repair it? It operates just fine except for the oscillating.

You can try taking it apart and cleaning the mechanism that makes it oscillate, but i have found most times when those stop they are just wore out and need replaced. Those sanders are pretty much disposable.

My washer won't spin or drain

you will have to drain the washer no matter what. scoop out as much of the water as you can. carefully pull it out and remove the lower panel. if it is an old one, the belt could be bad. it could be a bad motor or a bad timer also. if the belt IS bad, you must determine if the belt just wore out or if something locked up i.e. the water pump. also just a long shot, wiggle the timer around in different settings and see if it makes an effort. if it does then you need a new timer.

Microwave won't heat anything

Yeah, it's time to invest in a new oven. The magnetron tube in yours most likely just finally wore out. It's the source of the microwaves, and like any tube it gets weaker with age and finally just quits altogether. It would cost more for a new magnetron than it would for a new oven these days.

GE WASHER WJRR4170G0WW-SPIN Cycle does not work- just make sound.

My washer is 2 years old and this is 1/2 the cost I paid for it new. My review of this product after 35 years of technical experience; GE products (Hotpoint)aren't worth buying any longer.

The problem is the Motor. There is an electronic PC Board attached to the top of the motor and under the drip protector, which protects the PC Board. On this board, there is a green flashing light which displays trouble codes by flashing. Unplug the washer, remove the 3 screws from behind the control panel. Slowly pull the control panel toward you and slide it to the right to release. Inside the washer, there is a diagram with the trouble codes printed in the lower right hand corner. Everything else is self explained. Flashes indicate the problem and the solution is all written. Since I have the same problem and a technician, this is a defective product GE has discontinued and re-manufactured. After phoning GE the motor # Normal 0 WH20X10051 cost $252.25 to ship to my location.

Hello , i can try to help , I have always got these belts on by starting the belt on the small pulley/motor , then rolling it on the large pulley , kinda like putting a bike chain on. Let me know if you have any other questions and how it turns out.

I have a old hoover washer model# 0512 serial# 70404 and i need to know if i can still get a fill house and new belts for it and can u tell me how old this thing is cause everything works just the belts...

Fill hoses are more or less standard for all washers, so no prob there, re belts depending where you are located, try your nearest hoover dealer,I would not have thought you will have any trouble obtaining replacements,
If no joy there try a good shop that sells w/m spare parts, they might have good second belts.
Plz rate this solution
Thanks.
