REALLY NOISY

posted by mikey b from st Helen's. after experiencing a similar fault on my wt741.i set about determined to find the cause of the noise.On spin,particularly fast spin the washing machine was making a horrendous vibrating banging noise.i eventually traced the fault to the lower concrete weight which simply needed tightening. which is held on with 4 10mm bolts.the weight can be easily accessed by turning the washer on its side.support the outer drum with a small block of wood against casing before lying on its side. you will need a 10mm spanner to get on bolts.hope this was helpful !

YOur bearings in the back of the tub have worn out! This is caused by using powder soap. This is a very common problem and is around 400 bucks to fix.
