I guess that you are releasing the handle for the tilt? When released does it feel like it did? Does the carriage move any? What I would do is unplug the saw and put it on a workbench or floor and carefully tilt the saw on its back edge, holding the guard to keep if from falling quickly. Look under the saw for a bent rail and if not try to push the saw tilt by hand pushing on the bottom guard. You might have to lubricate the slide underneath or loosen up the locking mechanism. If you need a copy of the owners manual I would go to Dewaltservicenet.com and typing in your model number to download it. I really don't think it is anything major. Let me know

How do i remove the blade from a sr700 bLK N DEK MITER/CHOP SAW

Not sure how a Makita works, but on my DeWalt, a screw on a plate on the side of the guard is exposed when you rotate the guard all the way back. Remove that screw from the plate and the plate will allow the mechanism to lift up out of the way of the arbor screw.

Wuich way should the teeth be facing on radial arm saw with or against rotation?

As you face the saw, the edge of the blade closest to you is going down. The teeth should be pointing down also. On any circular saw (table saw, miter saw, etc.) the teeth of the saw should point in the direction of rotation. It might seem odd because as you draw the radial arm saw toward you, the saw wants to "climb" and pull itself along through the material. Some saws are equipped with a damping device to prevent the saw from lurching forward, most are not. You need to pull the saw toward yourself slowly and steadily to keep it from climbing. good luck

Need to get owners / instruction manual for my Dewalt DW705 type 3 12" miter saw. Do you know where I can get one quickly?

Hello. DeWalt has 13 types of this saw on file. Here is the link to all:
http://servicenet.dewalt.com/Parts/Search?searchedNumber=DW705&searchType=1

Click on the "more details" arrow of the one that meets your needs, then click the PDF symbol in the top right of the "product information" tab.

If this helps, please rate a four-thumbs up. Thank You.

How do you align the blade to the mitre slot on a Dewalt 746 table saw? trying to find step by step instructions

How did the blade get out of whack? Take the blade all the way up, put a straight edge against the blade, measure to the miter slot front and rear, if it is not the same, you will have to lightly loosen the carriage underneath and bump the thing over one way or the other with a lead hammer. Get it straight, then torque it back up. You should be all set. You can set your fence to the miter slots the same way. lock it down and check it, if it isn't right, adjust the fence, all fence adjust , from the cheapest to the best. Hope this helps.

The on and off handle on my mitre saw is broken, want to know how much is a new handle

It really depends on the model. The clamshell set for the DW705 is $20. There are many different models so check out dewaltservicenet.com and punch in your model number (HINT: make sure you press the GO button instead of pressing enter after entering your model)

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT AN OLD DEWALT DW1201 RADIAL ARM SAW WHICH DID NOT HAVE A CUTTING TABLE ONLY THE METAL FRAME. COULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN AQUIRE AN OWNERS MANUAL AS I AM HAVING QUITE A BIT OF...

Normally DeWalt owners manuals are available from DeWalt ServiceNet (Click here),
But I have been unable to get any hits on that model number when I search the site. and I'm thinking you have probably purchased one of the older cast iron models, a 12 or 14", am I right?
Sometimes I've had luck finding manual for older machines at this link, but in your case I wasn't able to turn anything useful up there either...
In general, those saws had a two piece table, with a strip of 3/4" ply or particle board about 3-4" or so wide in back, and a wider piece in front, both about 3-4' wide. Between the two, on edge, sat a fence, approx.2 1/2" tall. The back table was sized so that the fence would be located in the correct reference to the blade, i.e. in front of the blade when the saw was pushed all the way back against its stop.. Then the thumbscrew clamps on either side of the table would squeeze the fence between the back section and the front section of the table.. The leveling screws beneath are used to level the table with respect to the path of the saw along the arm, so that, e.g., a tooth of the blade just skims along barely touching along its entire path of cut...
You can probably learn the correct sequence of adjustments for squaring the blade vertically and horizontally and adjusting for heel by examining other radial arm saw manuals, or perhaps consulting books on the subject...
Here's a link to an online forum on the subject
I haven't actually seen this book, but it looks interesting...Mr Sawdust
And finally, if you check back issues of Fine Woodworking online or at your local library, there are bound to be some articles on radial arms saws to help you along...
Sorry I couldn't hook you up with a manual, but I hope this helps... Good luck!

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!

How to set fence square to blade.dw705

First if you need an owners manual go to Dewaltservicenet.com and in the middle of the page at the bottom type in your model number and get a copy. OK for setting the fence square, first unplug the tool and make sure that the blade isi good. Get an accurate square. Set the table at 0 or 90 degree for a straight cut depending on your scale. Make sure the blade is straight up and down on the bevel before starting. What you want to do is loosen up the 4 bolts on the back side of the fence enough so you can move the fence with some resistance. Set your square on the left side of the blade and pull or push the fence till it is square with the blade, snug up one of the bolts and then put the square on the right side and check for square, you might have to move it some if square snug up one bolt and recheck the left side again, if ok tighten both bolts and recheck the right side and repeat if OK. I sometimes recheck 3 or 4 times just to make sure. Also I should have mentioned about putting a straight edge across the length of the fence to make sure that it is not bent in some way thereby not allowing you to square the blade. Let me know if you need any more help
