So if you were assessing a spray painting student, you would observe samples of the student's work, and also the student preparing for and carrying out the necessary tasks over a range of required outcomes.
You could assess any theoretical knowledge needed via an oral interview, or a written test (IF the student had the required writing skills already, you are not assessing that).
