If Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Calculator hangs on screen "RAM CLEARED" , what should I do?

You should try a few different things:

1) Press the Clear button
2) Press the On Button
3) Remove and replace the batteries

If the final step does not work, you should also remove the backup battery. This is located UNDER the AA batteries. You will need a small screwdriver to remove the cover. Replace everything and turn the calculator back on.

My Cas NSpire Calculator got slightly wet. It functions normally but half of the screen is blacked out! I live in Chicago. Where can I go to fix it?

Sorry to hear about your blacked out screen. Some people replace the screen on their own, or have a repair shop do it. I feel this is a bad idea, and this procedure usually fails, and does not look good. Your Ti-Nspire CAS is to nice of a calculator to not get full replacement anyway. You will be much better off to contact Texas Instruments for replacement that usually cost about $100 approximately depending on their rating usage of your calculator. First, thing to do if you seek replacement by Texas Instruments is to contact Texas Instruments, and fill out a request for a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number for a product replacement. You can start that process by clicking here! Once your at the Ti web site double click the icon Customer Support Services. Simply fill out their TI-cares Customer Assistance form. They will respond quickly with an email. All you have to do is reply to that email, and you will be given a RMA number and further instructions.

To contact Customer Service with out going to the Texas Instruments web site send an email to ti-cares@ti.com or call 1-800 TI CARES (1-800-842-2737) Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 7:00pm or Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm Central Standard Time

My scientific calculator TI-83 plus is not working i replace the batteries then the calculator cuts on and off and show random things on the screen

You may need to replace the backup battery located behind a little door with a screw right above the AAA batteries. If that doesn't work you might want to try a full reset. Take all batteries out including the backup battery and leave them out for a few hours before reassembling. Hope this helps.

It cannot be a coordinate symbol (x is any variable ) because the calculator is not a graphical one. Press the [A/C] Clear All button and it will erase all junk in memory and display.
Hope it helps.

Inputing scientific notation into my calculator

Hello,

1. To convert a number to scientific equation, use [2nd][Sci]
Exemples 12345 [=] screen shows 12345 Then [2nd][Sci] coverts it to 1.2345 ^04 to the power 4.
2. To enter directly a number in scientific notation (e.g. -1.2345 X10^(-65) a very small number) you use the [EE] key 1.2345[+ /-][EE][+/-]65 shows as -1.2345 -65
1.6X10^(-19) 1.6[EE][+/-]19 shows as 1.6 -19

Hope it helps
