run the diagnostics of battery frm bios.. u ll find the diagnostics option wen u restart the laptop.!! if that doesn't work thn contact the acer technical support for further help. if u have the warranty of the product thn surely thy can replace with a new battery. if more thn 1 yrs had gone frm the purchase of the laptop thn remember the warranty of the battery is not valid. only the product warranty is valid
Sounds very much like the battery or the battery cables/connections. If the battery has low fluid or a shorted cell or two, it won't take a full charge no matter how long you charge it. If you are not able to take the battery in for a load test and validate that it is good, try changing it out with the battery in another vehicle that is not having a problem, and see if that vehicle suddenly develops the same issue. Batteries need to have a load applied while the voltage is checked for a valid determination of it's condition. If you have a volt meter, have someone try the starter while you are checking the battery voltage. If it falls way below 12 volts (replace it), or stays above 12 volts (good) you have a valid answer either way.
Important: Using the power door unlock
switch or manually unlocking the doors does not disable the Content
Theft Deterrent (CTD) armed mode. Also, disconnecting the battery or
pulling fuses does not disable the armed mode, since
the body control module (BCM) stores the CTD mode status in memory.

Cadillac original battery warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles.
The 6 year pro-rated warranty marked on the top is only valid for purchased batteries; originally installed batteries or batteries installed under warranty still end their warranty at 4y/50k.
