Question about Polaroid FLM-323B Television

My 32" Polaroid Flat Screen HDTV/DVD combo won't play DVDs

I bought it last March (2008) from Walmart, as a refurbished floor model, so a service contract was unavailable. All I use it for is to watch DVD's (I don't do TV). It starts to act "mentally ill"; it will stop mid-DVD, sometimes it will go on again on it's own, sometimes I will have to put the DVD back to "scene select", and sometimes it won't play again at all. Lately it is not playing a DVD at all; if a screen does come up, it will sit on that one screen indefinitely. Please help! I had it professionally installed on a wall mount and I don't even know how to take it down!

Open dvd tray and blow on the lens inside to remove the dust. This happens alot and many people make the mistake of throwing them away.
If it doesn't work, then there is something wrong with the lens or the lens needs to be cleaned with alchohol.

Remove the cover and use a q-tip with alcohol on it and gently rub the lens.

    did this work for you?

Oh I see, well, you will actually have to take the televison down off the wall and remove the 4 or 6 screws holding the back of the tv together. Then, after the cover is removed, you will have access to your dvd player. Then you will need to dip a cotton swab/q-tip into rubbing alcohol and wipe the swab on the lens of the dvd player. and thats it. Should be good after that.

I can help you with your Polaroid HDTV.

If the DVD doesn't start when you place it in the player, look for the Play button on the remote control. There may be a TV/DVD switch on the remote that would need to be changed to DVD.

If the manual below doesn't match your TV, please post the model number of your Polaroid HDTV/DVD combo for more specific help.

I hope that helps.

I have a 32" HD widescreen LCD TV/DVD combo. TDA03211c. When I put a dvd in to play it makes a noise and puts some digital garbage on the screen. Will not play dvds.

Sounds like the DVD player is defective. Just food for thought.. Try not invest in any make with a built in DVD player, they just don't last.

My Polaroid 32" Flat Screen HDTV/DVD won't play DVD's

Your lens inside your player could be dusty or dirty.
Open up the dvd drawer and blow real hard in there.
Wait about 30 sec and try again.
This should fix your problem.

You can also purchase a can of airduster at circuit city, walmart, any office store should have it.

I hope this fixes the problem. If it doesn't, the lens might have to be adjusted by a repairman.
