Try using a DVD cleaning disk in the player first. If this does not fix the problem. The chances are that the calibration is off and you will have to have it serviced at a repair center. How old is the unit, what is the model number and where are you located?
yes the dvd can be replaced..audiovox makes good ones and the dvd player u have is good to have lasted this long so dont waste too much time scratching your head trying to get it to work..never seen a cleaner dvd fix anything..most times its the operational dirt and and grime and it just throws it all off.best buy or local stereo shop can replace..good shops can be found just ask for MECP certified installer to perform your install
hi, i took the whole thing apart and i noticed the laser wasn't coming on, so i found where the laser is connected to and the connection was not pushed in all the way in so i pushed it in all the way, now it works.
Hi, I had the same problem with my PMD-100NT. I found that there was a motor inside that, I think, was moving the laser head was skipping and the head was not moving into position. I hooked a portable to the external jacks and I am just using it as a monitor. I am firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
