Its in the owner manual but generally:

Unplug the set first

remove plate beneath screen on front of set, usually pulls out or has a thumb wheel on either side on rear to back out first.

Locate the Lamp Door directly behind it and remove the screw/s that secure it.

Inside you will find the lamp cartridge, back out the two screws until the cartridge is free, and pull cartridge out by the handle it has.

Do not just buy a bulb unless you want a darker picture and a short lamp life--get a replacement with the cartridge.

A word of caution, when you slide the new one into the set take care the two pins on the lamp line up perfectly with the socket in the set where the lamp goes, it is easy on these sets to have the lamp not engage and bend the socket in the set out of position, it can be dealt with but easier to avoid that pit fall.

Door and plate and all screws etc and power set up to see what you have.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-65733 no picture, electrical buzzes in series

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi wd 65733: new bulb, 1 month ago, worked

The only thing that could cause the yellow light to blink after the new lamp is that the lamp lid or access door is not placed correctly or there might be some debris between the door and the door seat to where the door sensor switch is not being activated or the switch is erratic. Try using some compressed air to clean the switch and the door seat, that might do it for you. Thanks!

Mitsubishi WD-65733 Lamp, Ballast, or Other Problem

What do you think should be right. If there any loose solder terminals to the ballast bard, this type of fault can occur. Anyway, I'm not sure about it; but check this frist before doing any other. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

65" 1080 mitsubishi tv model# WD-65733 wont turn on

It is probably the wiring. Try buying a new power cord.
If not than it is just malfunctioned.

Wd-65733 Mitsubishi Tv green blinking light and TV will not come on

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you cAN FIND. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!
