Wire a dayton 4lz94a thermostat for turning on a gas fired heating unit?

If the unit has a switch that does fire it up when turned on. using the same gage wire, you can make an addaptor with an extention cord buy cutting just the black wire ing the extention cord and hooking the black wire from the male plug side to the line in side of the thermostat and the black wire from the female side to the load side of the thermostat..

I have an oil fired aga the oil will not come throw to the burner

see the following steps:
f the burner doesn't run, set the thermostat a few degrees higher than normal to see if it comes on. If it still doesn't come on, check switches, and breakers and fuses (see the Electrical Service Panel Fix-It Guide). If the unit has a reset button, press it. Also oil the motor at any oil ports (see below). If the unit doesn't want to start and run, first check the c to make sure that the ignition is getting power. If there is power, check the built-in safety controls (see below) that may turn the system off if they perceive problems.
If the burner cycles too often, replace the filter (see below). Also, oil and adjust the blower (see the Forced-Air Distribution Fix-It Guide).
If the burner runs but won't fire, make sure the oil valves are open and that there's oil in the tank. Check the tank level with a clean stick.
If the burner smokes or squeals, shut off the unit, let it cool, and fill the oil cups. Recheck them after the motor has run for an hour.
If the chimney smokes even after the flue has warmed up, the unit is wasting fuel; call for professional repair.
Safety Controls
Oil furnaces and other heat systems include safety devices that monitor operation and turn off the unit if something goes wrong. In some cases, the safety device can be the problem.
If you encounter an operating problem with an oil furnace, first reset the safety and try again.
If the burner kicks off again, shut off all power at the electrical service panel ; the burner motor and ignition may be protected by separate fuses or breakers.
If the sensor has a photocell, wipe it with a clean rag or tissue and see if the furnace starts.
If the safety is a stack switch mounted on the flue, remove the screw holding the unit to the stack, slide it out, and wipe off the sensor.
If the furnace won't start after three tries, seek professional assistance. Unburned oil can accumulate in the combustion chamber and "flash back."

My goodman furnacs says my limit switch is bad blower works but does not ignite .....? its modle gmt070-3 and where is it located

There are several limit switches in the unit there in various places in burner compartment. One on blower housing . One thing that I would try is replaceing your filter and turn the power off to the furnace and try starting the system after power is D/C for 5 minutes.

Turn main furnace switch on, combustion air fan comes on and main circulation fan comes on. About 40 seconds later the igniter lites, two burners closest to the igniter fire up and immediatly snuff out....

Hello, if all the burners are not firing up then they must be cleaned out, usually dirt gets in the crossover parts of the burner and the gas cant flow to all the burners and therefore the flame sensor will turn off the furnace for safety. Clean the burners out this should fix the problem.

Goodman GS9 propane furnace inducer motor runs continuously

it sounds like the low temp limit switch, the one that cools the furnace down with the burner off and the thermostat open, when it cools to a point the fan stops, the other switch in burner area turns burner off/on, hope this helps

Dayton kero heater wont fire0

OHH I bet this is the same question I just posted to. So it is a forced air kerosene. The usual is like I said a blocked combustion air hole. It could also be something shorting out the spark ignition to ground when replaces inspect the wires and look for a week or loose ground in this case. Sorry about the confusion.

A Bad ignition proving circuit or something like (what we call here dirt dobbers) hornets nest could be letting the flame hit it and not allowing full flow through the heater. Mice are also notorious for making problems like wires chewed and nests in the wrong place. Given where it may have been stored.
