Question about Gateway Wireless-B Router (wbr-100)
Hello, I am trying to adjust my d-link DWL-810 using my MSI laptop with windows vista so I could use it as a wireless bridge. The instructions are for XP. So to adjust the IP address I have A choice of IPv6 or IPv4. I chose either/or & both with following setting as instructed yet however the laptop is not recognising nor network nor browser192.168.0.30. The IP address I set for laptop was192.168.0.51 & submask 250.250.250.250.0 as the booklet instructs but with no success. Please note that I have disabled the internal WIFI and used the LAN network as instructed. Appreciate if you can help. vbrgds Ray.
Keep the subnetmask 255.255.255.0 it is almost always a default class C address. That subnet mask you are entering technically does not exist. . and make sure IPv4 is on the same subnet ex. ip 192.168.0.31 mask:255.255.255.0
