On our HP design jet 9000 we are getting a system error 1180.

I have the exact same problem, where is this shaft located that you need to greese?

HI,
Please reinstalled Printer driver or restart computer or printer then you new driver installed it. Or installation before scan virus and removed it. Or proper check it all connecting cables.

System Error: 56:13
Problem
Description:
Error in the Drive Roller Encoder Sensor quadrature.
Corrective Action: Try the following:
Switch the Printer Off and wait a few minutes. Switch the Printer
On again and check if the Error Code has disappeared.
If the Error Code continues, replace the Drive Roller Encoder

sounds like the media motor encoder is dirty or has failed , there are videos on you tube on how to get to the sensor ,OR if your not up to it I would recommend Belmonte Business equipment as being much cheaper than HP to resolve your issue

Error e020/04e0 for clc 1180

You need to Reset Code From Function_Clear_Err_OK. Check Dens_K in Display_Dens if it is to less i.e. bellow -2.5 Check Whether Black toner is present in hopper or replace Black developer

The end of life of the Prime Assembly has been reached since it has been working for more than 58 hours.
The Prime Assembly has to be replaced.
You are going to need a DesignJet technician

Amperage in park station engine is too high. You should lubricate all gears around it.

Have been getting the following error 83.0180 EIO 3 Error on an HP LaserJet 9000. Don't have the manual so don't know what it is.

this is a network card error. the EIO card in slot 3 is probably faulty. Try swapping the card into slot 1 or 2. If you get the same error then you will need to replace the card.

Error code 93:11

System Error: 93:11

Description: Unable to pressurize the IDS.
Corrective Action: Try the following:
Remove ALL the Ink Cartridges and reinstall them one by one in to the Printer.
Replace the Ink Cartridges.
Replace the APS Assembly.
If the System Error continues, replace the Ink Supply Tubes and Trailing Cable.

System Error 1180: Capping Motor Error

Description:
Capping Motor over current is detected.

Corrective Action: Try the following:

When the ambient temperature is very low, the Pump Motor Tube becomes hard and the load on the Capping Motor is increased. Make sure that the Printer is in an environment where the temperature is not below -10oC or higher than +85oC.

The Capping Station has a Torque Limiter for up and down operation so that the Capping Station does not experience any over current. Apply grease on the shaft of the Capping Station Gear so that it helps with rotation.

Make sure that the Capping Station cables are connected correctly and are not damaged

If the Capping Motor cannot be rotated, replace the Capping Station

Replace the Main PCA if nothing above corrects your problem
