Thanks for the resonse. I had seen on the web that there was a Bekin dedicated list that specifically stated whether a Printer, in this case a HP2355, was compatible or not. So the response does not confirm in the specific.

I have yet to setup any printer on a print server and not have it work. There are times that some functions do not work. For example there are control buttons on the printer itself for scanning, copying, faxing etc that if it was "directly" connected to the computer itself the computer would prompt you .. those kind of things don't work .. but other than that .. You should have no problem

The process of installation is probably based on installing with the printer attached to the PC. What I do to "work around" is do that process.

When complete I setup the wireless print server.

I then attach the printer (in your case HP2355) and then setup the printer on the print server using its software.

The Belkin people know that the HP needs to be connected for installation but once you have software on your PC .. all you are doing is changing the port it is attached to.

I have a very old HP LC3 netserver. It was in my office, and I have moved it to my home. I would like it to communicate with my printer in order to print out documents. Can it be connected directly to my...

Add the printer to the wireless router as another node via DHCP. Then add the printer by the IP address. Your server does not have wireless so it will need to be connected to the router via network cable.

Or, you attach the printer directly to the server via parallel port (RS-232) cable. Or upgrade the server with an USB port, and connect it that way. gl

Resolve Error Code: C7 on SuperMicro Server

First check the OS compatibility for you motherboard here:
http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/os.cfm

Then, if compatible, check the IDE/SATA setting. Change the hard drive controller settings from IDE to AHCI or vice versa to see if the OS kernel panics on boot. If that does not work, please reply with your OS version and motherboard model.

Hello,

This is a hardware compatibility issue. (Most times) when installing server 2003 and it keeps dumping memory. Check to make sure your system is the correct configuration for the Windows Server 2003.

FROM WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD WINDOWS XP SP2 LAN DRIVER FOR HP PROLIANT ML110 G6

Hi ppswalia

Since this is a Server, rather than an ordinary Desktop computer, it is not designed to work with normal Windows XP Operating Systems. It is designed to work specifically with Windows, Unix and Linux Server Applications. See here:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3577715&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3577708

There are 2 things you can try.

You can try installing the LAN/Ethernet Drivers for the various Windows Server versions from the above official HP Downloads and Drivers Support Website and see if one of them just happens to coincidentally be compatible with XP SP2.

Assuming there are no further compatibility issues between other Server Motherboard Devices and Win XP SP2 Drivers, you could open the Server case and either bypass any on-board LAN/Ethernet/NIC Port or remove any separate LAN/Ethernet/Network Card installed and install, instead, a pre-confirmed Win XP compatible LAN/Ethernet/NIC Card and then install the drivers for the new card.

I hope this helps.

How to install windows7 64 bit dell poweredge 1600sc ?

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))julyallan01_28.jpg

I would like to know can I put windows 2008 server on this server? if I can where Can I get all the driver to support it?

Server 2008 is still relatively new.

Whilst quite a bit of hardware is already supported with 2008 out of the box I would suggest doing an upgrade install with 2003 as a base.
The last server upgrade I did took a similar route and even though much of the hardware was not listed in the compatibility report It did work fine.

From what I understand (and some of the ms bulletins can be hard to follow) some drivers seem to carry over with like a backward compatibility.

If the server is not in use yet you could always get the trail version from MS just to test the theory.

Generally servers are not as picky as a regular desktp OS about a lot of the hardware.
