I inserted my memory card from camera but nothing happened.

There are 2 slots - does it matter which one. We have Vista.
I only inserted it in the top and waited for something to show up on my monitor.

What type of memory card do you have that your trying to insert.

  • Anonymous Jan 15, 2009

Does your phone have usb. It may be easier to pull the images via usb. Put the card back into your camera and plug a usb to usb2 cable that comes with the camera into your computer and it should come up without a problem

Memory card will not re insert

Try to
1) check you insert it the correct way (check in manual if in doubt),
2) check there is nothing inside the memory card slot,
3) check if the card is damaged,
4) try another card.
If all this gives no result, you should take it to the shop you bought the camera and let them check.
Important not to use force here!
Good luck! :)

Window Vista not recognizing my Canon Power Shot A540 to download

I recommend getting a USB card reader for your memory card.

You should make sure that the camera is on for the transfer. If that doesn't work, try another USB input.

I cannot insert my Transcend SD 2 GB memory card in the camera. Is there only 1 type of memory card that can be inserted?

Make sure there's nothing in the slot, and you've got the card oriented properly. The i1237 works with SD and SDHC cards. The Transcend 2GB SD card should work fine.

The camera beeps when we put the card in.

The images you take with your PDC 640 camera are stored on a removable 3.3V SSFDC or SmartMedia 2 MB memory card (also available in 4 MB and 8 MB). Note: You must insert the memory card before you can turn on the camera.

If camera beeps is enabled, the camera beeps if the card is not installed and displays the [ ] message on the Status panel.

To insert the memory card:
1. Make sure the lens cover is closed (the power is off).
2. Open the memory compartment on the side of the camera.
3. Insert the memory card into the slot (gold side of the card facing the front of the camera).
Make sure the card is pushed firmly into the slot. Note: The camera prompts you to format the memory card if it is not formatted. The camera displays the format menu on the LCD viewfinder. Press the button next to Format.
4. Close the memory compartment cover.

If you can, try using a different memory card. Else, your memory card contact terminals inside the camera may have become worn, causing the camera to not recognize the card once it is inserted.

Installing SD Memory Card

Your camera has a memory card slot that enables you to insert any "SD" compatible memory card up to 8BG. Adding a memory card will allow you to increase the capacity of your camera before you have to transfer photos and videos to your PC. Install the SD memory card as below:

  1. Locate the Memory Card slot within the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the Memory card into the slot in the correct direction. (see the sketch below)

  1. Push the card in until you feel it "click" into position. The top of the card should be flushed with the surface of the camera. An icon will appear on the LCD screen after you turn on your camera.
  2. Once the external memory card is inserted into the camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.

Note:

  1. Limited internal memory is provided for test images. The image will be deleted when camera power is turned off. Please download the images before power off .SD memory card is required for normal use.
  2. An external memory card is required for normal use. Your camera supports any compatible SD memory card (up to 8GB).
  3. If there is a photo in the internal memory when you insert the card into your camera, a "Copy to card" message will appear on the LCD with Yes or No options. On selecting 'Yes' the photo will now be copied to your card.
  4. Formatting will delete all data on the SD memory card including protected data.
8
  1. Don't remove the SD card during formatting as this may damage the card and render it unusable.
  2. When your card is full, download the media on the SD card to your PC and delete the photos and videos from it in order to continue using your

Memory card will not push in and stay engaged in memory card slot

This happens most of the time with digital camera and mobile phones, if you try to insert the memory card in a wrong direction. Before inserting your memory card, look into the slot hole and see the position of contact terminals and insert your card in such way that the card comes with contact with the terminals inside the slot. If your card already got struck into the slot, try removing it by pulling out using a small nose plier. Also try with another memory card of similar type to detect any problem due to your memory card. I hope this will help you out.

Genius G-Shot HD55 (camera) - How to get SD card working??

For Genius G-Shot HD55 you need to insert the SDHC card deeper into the slot until it clicks closed, like opening a pen, then when you want to remove it press it again until it clicks to release, like closing a pen. Your card is recognised after the deep click insertion and restarting the camera.
