Fix 1: Power reset your laptop
Power resetting does a trick to fix the Acer black screen issue and it works for many people. Here's how to do it:
1.Turn off your laptop.
2.Remove the AC adapter cable, hard drives, the battery and any other attached peripheral devices.
3.Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds and release. Your laptop will boot up and turn off during this time period.
4.Put your battery back in and plug the charger. Then don't plug anything else.
5.Press the Power button as normal to turn on your laptop.
Your laptop should start normally now.
If this method works for you, you should update your device drivers to the latest version to prevent similar problems from happening again.
If the laptop screen is black, don't worry. There are other solutions.
Fix 2: Try F2, F9, and F10 key
If you find yous Acer laptop screen is black, you can try this:
1.Ensure to turn off your laptop, and unplug any external devices.
2.Press the Power button to turn on your laptop.
3.When you see the Acer logo or splash screen appears, press F2, F9, F10, and Enter key on your keyboard.
4.Select Exit > Yes, and press Enter.
Your laptop will start and the black screen issue should be resolved.
Fix 3: Update graphics card driver
The missing or outdated graphics card driver in your laptop can cause the black screen, so you should verify that the graphics drivers in your laptop are up to date, and update those that aren't.
Note: You'll need to log into your computer to perform these method. If you can't log into your computer, boot your laptop into Safe Modewith network, then follow the instructions below.
You can manually search for the latest version of your graphics driver from the manufacturer, and download and install it in your computer. This requires time and computer skills. We recommend this if you're confident with your computer skills.
If you don't have time or patience, you can do it automatically with Driver Easy.
Driver Easy will automatically recognize your system and find the correct drivers for it.You don't need to know exactly what system your computer is running, you don't need to risk downloading and installing the wrong driver, and you don't need to worry about making mistake when installing.
1.Downloadand install Driver Easy.
2.Run Driver Easy and click the Scan Now button. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers.
3.Click the Update button next to the flagged graphics device to automatically download the correct version of the driver (you can do this with the FREE version), then install the driver in your computer.
Or click Update All to automatically download and install the correct version of all the drivers that are missing or out of date on your system (this requires the Pro version - you'll be prompted to upgrade when you click Update All).

4.After updating, restart your computer to take effect.
Check and see if your laptop screen works properly.
Fix 4: Check for virus and malware
Note: You'll need to log into your computer to perform these method. If you can't log into your computer, boot your laptop into Safe Mode with network, then follow the instructions below.
Your Acer laptop screen may be black if your system has been damaged by virus or malware.
So run a virus scan across your entire Windows system. Yes, it may take some time to complete, but it's worth it. Unfortunately, Windows Defender may not detect it, so it's worth trying another antivirus program such as Avira and panda.
It any malware has been detected, follow the instructions provided by the antivirus program to fix it.
Then restart your computer as normal and see if it fixes your black screen issue.
Fix 5: Update BIOS
BIOS stands for Basic Input Output System. It's a software that is stored on a small memory chip in the Motherboard of your computer. BIOS is used to identify and troubleshoot the hardware issue in your computer or laptop.
To update your BIOS, go to Acer support page, find the BIOS file for your Acer laptop model. Download it into your USB drive, and follow the instructions provided by Acer to update BIOS.

To update firmware you will need a Microsoft Windows based PC and download the latest firmware on this website:

Once downloaded, unzip files to your desktop and do the following sequence:

1st -> RUN file Generic_V1.0.0.0.EXE (USB firmware update driver)

2nd -> connect your wireless video monitor to power adapter

3rd -> press and hold select (enter) button in the middle of the dial.

4th -> connect USB cable to your PC. (screen will blank white instead of black) this is firmware update mode

5th -> RUN firmware update utility mr8911isp.exe , wait to USB connection (status bar will turn green) and show message ASIC: 0301 Device Connected

6th -> Press Update button and wait...

7th -> Update done! disconnect your device and voila! no more date/time issues and another bonus bugs fixed noticed: lower alarm beep volume, menu text size increased for better reading, temperature sensor more reliable

this is either a video driver error caused by out of date drivers or trying to display something your computer does not have the capacity for if you meet the min system requirements and your drivers are up to date try displaying other programs to make sure that you find the same lines if after updating drivers you still have lines either the monitor or graphics card has burnt out

The file is apart of the Intel graphics driver system. If you uninstall and reinstall the Intel MGA driver it may clear up this message.
You can also try to update the driver using the following method:
Click -START - Control Panel - INTEL GMA Driver
On the driver control screen click on - Information -
Select the - Support - tab
Click on the Graphics Driver downloads Link
Select - Graphics - and follow the prompts
You may be asked to download the update utility, do so
Select the Check System button to get latest driver
This method will keep your computer up to date.

try to remember the last thing you installed and uninstall it; or a driver update, as this will be more than likely a corrupt driver, possibly a graphics driver, if you can restore your pc to an earlier date in system tools and it should stop the problem, and next time see what updates your pc does and you may find the culprit

you need to upgrade your graphics adapter meaning you have to replace with a higher memory, call of duty needs a higher memory. i have a video card with this kind and appeares the same problem like yours when i installed this call of duty1 and call of duty2 i purchased new video card 256mb nvidia and now i don't have problem encountered

i would suggest that you either roll back your driver for the graphics card or do a system restore to a date previous to when the drivers were updated, this wil show in the system restore dates boxes. You are probably running the generic windows driver for your graphics, it's better to see what updates you are installing before updating any hardware drivers.

The graphics card or onboard graphics driver may not be kicking in at boot up causing the monitor to shut down, check the graphics card connector for bent pins and both connector ends. If you are able, think back to when this started and use system restore to a date before is started. Also you may have inadvertantly updated your graphics driver with one of windows generic drivers, of which may be the cause. You can also try pressing F8 on boot up and selecting 'last known good configuration' and see if that cures it.
