Question about FIC FR 31 (FR31) Motherboard

1 Answer

User Manual Hi, My daughter has, for some reason, tried to overclock her FR31 and killed it. Also she seems to have lost her user manual. I have tried downloading it from the FIC site to no avail. To get out of it I need to clear the cmos but without a manual or a picture of the board I am stuck. Can anyone point me in the direction of the jumper I assume I have to short please? regards, Ken

Re: User Manual

The user's manual can be downloaded here: The clear CMOS switch according to this manual is located at the bottom right corner of the board.

No power on motherboard

No power Can be due to a lot of reasons.
  1. Power cord itself faulty.
  2. Power supply faulty.
  3. Power supply connector faulty.
  4. Motherboard itself faulty.
So, Check one by one, will achieve the goal.
Here i am going to attach its user manual to reach at the target.

Check this user manual and let me inform.

best of luck!

There are many issues to consider when overclocking and the first is to be sure that you have extra cooling for your processor. On this motherboard I do not recommend overclocking but since ASUS says that it can be done I will try to give you some places to get information on your A7V880 system. If you do not have your user's manual, you can go to the link below and download one. . Leave the OVER_VOLT1 jumper on the motherboard on the default of pins 1 & 2. Refer then to section 2.4.5 on pages 2-21,22 of the User's Manual for Jumper Free configuration overclocking settings. In BIOS Setup I suggest a CPU Multiple of 10 or less. If you choose to use the AI Overclock Tuner instead, a setting of [Overclock 20%] or less would be best. The VCORE Voltage setting will depend on the specs for the CPU that you are using. If you don't know leave it at Auto. As I said before, overheating of the CPU is a problem in overclocking and you can monitor the temperature via the Hardware Monitor. Refer to section 2.5.6 on page 2-26 of the manual. Modern cpu overclocking normally does not exceed 20% safely unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on liquid cooling and frequent replacement of damaged processors. I would be interested in hearing whether you decide to overclock or continuing with your present settings.

Hi where can I get a user manual for GA 8S661FXMP-RZ user manual ?

This is the link for the "light" user manual (14 pages), rev. date 2005/02/01 and
this is the link for the full user manual (40 pages), rev. date 2004/11/10. Both of them are official from Gigabyte.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

I lost a user manual, then found these guys. They emailed it to me in about 2 hours and it only cost about £3, which i thought was very reasonable.

Hope this helps.

My suggestion is to never overclock. This makes the machine burn hotter and kills the life of the cpu. I learned this the hard way. If your gaming save up the money and go to the motherboard site and upgrade to a better cpu with fan.

Mother board cd lost.

Firstly, go to the manufacturer's website, if you know it, or google it if you do not know the web address. Then, if you find it go to supprt and with careful searching you should find it
If this does not work try googling your motherboard's model number with the phrase "user manual" as a suffix, e.g. soyo sy6bb user manual or a210dgms user manual, etc This should work.
If it has not found your motherboard try searching
I have noted that most results seem to be in English, other languages are less well catered for.
