what jennifer said is correct you only have to delete the one you can see

  • Jennifer_H May 11, 2010

if you only see one only delete that one you will not have to delete the other once you have reboot the computer

  • machadojr_fe May 11, 2010

open the Windows Registry by clicking start and then run and typing in regedit and pressing enter and then navigate to

Delete the keys named UpperFilters and LowerFilters and reboot the machine.

Try finding your driver here

I'm not sure which version of Vista you are using but there are updated drivers that you can find there by clicking on your version of vista.

Oh I'm sorry usually that error occurs most often with vista I should have asked you before what OS you were running right click my computer click properties and then go to the device manager and uninstall the cd-rom or dvd drive you see listed there and then restart windows,
this should auto-detect the drive and reinstall the cd-rom drivers.

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working hope this helps also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer

I have windows XP on My Sony Vaio PCG K45, but when i switch on my laptop it get boot upto the blue screen with windows XP logo and then it get stuck. I request you to help me to sort out my...

It is problem with the boot sector. There is a bad sector in the MBR. Whatever you do will not be a solution to remedy this problem. First of all you need to take a test of the primary hard drive. If it passes the test, backup all your data using a linux LIVE CD and then format the whole drive (all partitions) to ntfs using a Vista installer dvd. Re-install XP into the first partition of the drive. This will fix the problem parmanently.
Feel free to contact for any questions further. I am following up.

Sony Vaio PCG-K45. My speakers are not working

May be yor codec (decoding system) is missed. Try different player, also if using Klitecodecks reset settings. Find sound program and turn off 5.1 or 7.1 sound and choose 2 speakers.

Sony pcg k45

Put the cd in and restart. If it doesn't give you a message to press "x" to boot from cd, then you need to chage the boot order in the BIOS.

To get into the BIOS, restart and press del or F2 (it might say something on the screen like press del to enter setup) that is the BIOS.

Change the boot order to CD first.
