Monitor turns off/countinually beep sound

Hi guys!

For some unknown reason and maybe twice a week my monitor turns off by itself and I get a continually beep sound when I turn on my computer after this.
Then I unplug my monitor from the back of my computer for a minute reconnect it again, restart my computer and everything is just fine.

I thought it was my Hpw2207 monitor but after I had it replaced I noticed the same problem, I also tested another monitor and got the same issue. My computer is a ''built-in comp'', but I never had this problem before.
Could you please help me find an answer???.. thank you guys!!!

Ernesto.

No display on monitor,No cd drive ejecting but cpu fan is running and power on led light is in green in mother board ,No beep sounds Can anybody Know the problem of my motherboard? Help me guys

Hi
This is a difficult one without knowledge of specifics. However here goes. The absence of beep codes would indicate that the motherboard is getting through its POST routine OK, although some boards give a single beep when the POST is completed and the absence of this beep indicates a problem on these boards.
The CD drive not ejecting can be that there is no power to it. Does it have a light on it during POST. If so it is probably just stuck. Try using a straightened paperclip in the very small hole in the fascia plate.
Now to graphics, I am sure you have checked that the computer to monitor cable is firmly connected at both ends, and if the computer has two graphics ports, that it is plugged into the correct one. Does your graphic card have a separate power supply, if so is this securely seated? The way to test the graphics is to connect another monitor that is known to work into the computer and seeing if you get a picture. If you do then the monitor you are using is faulty.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

Hi i ive got a pc with msi ms7312 motherboard ,unknown what procesor but for sum reason when turned on my monitor wont *** on ,it has on bourd grafix ,iv tried the monitor on the pc im using now and it...

It's an very old Athlon XP processor. But the problem isn't with it, it's with the motherboard itself, the chipset has died.
There is nothing you can do, it's dead for good. Replace it - any Socket A motherboard with DDR memory will do.

Continous Beeping sound

Hi neosw,

Could you provide a little more detail?

Was this a previously working set-up or is this a new build?

If this was a previously working set-up have you changed anything?

When you switch on the PC
  • do you see anything on the screen, does the monitor remain in standby?
  • are any of the fans running?
  • does the hard drive spin up?
  • does the beeping sound stop after a short while?
The reason I ask these questions is because a continues beeping usually means that the BIOS is not seeing the processor, or that the power to the processor is not correct. With some BIOS manufactures it can also mean the processor clock speed is not set
correctly.

Please don't take this the wrong way but...if you provide greater detail in your question, the easier it for us to diagnose your problem, otherwise we can only make educated guesses.

I hope this has been of some help.

Regards,

Syntax motherboar error beep code

you may need to reset the cmos on jbat1 terminal with the jumper across pins 2-3 then back to pins 1-2, then boot up and reset time, date and hdd, press f10 to save and exit. this is all assuming your board supports the sempron processor as well as the athlon
