Your user data files could be corrupt. Try creating a new user account and see if it now works.

Restarts automatically

If you shut down your Windows XP-based computer, your computer may restart instead of shutting down. The computer may also restart unexpectedly while you are using the computer to perform certain tasks. An error message may appear on a blue screen when the computer restarts.
This behavior may occur if Windows stops responding during a typical operation or during the shutdown process. By default, the computer is configured to automatically restart when Windows stops responding. To view this setting, follow these steps:
  1. Click the Start button, right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Advancedtab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  2. Under System Failure, view the Automatically restart check box. If theAutomatically restart check box is selected, Windows automatically restarts if the computer stops unexpectedly.
To configure the way that Windows responds when the computer stops unexpectedly, follow these steps.

Note: You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from completing this procedure.
  1. Log on to the host computer as either an administrator or the owner.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Under Pick a category, click Performance and Maintenance.
  4. Under the or pick a Control Panel icon section, click System.
  5. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
  6. Click to select any one of the following check boxes under System Failure:
    • Write an event to the system log
    • Send an administrative alert
    • Automatically restart

I bought a desktop computer from auction and it is been locked by admin password and i could not load softwares to my computer.

Access http://www.google.com
Enter: windows nt offline password editor
Download this software.
Burn it to a CD-R.
Restart the "locked" computer, forcing it to boot from the CD-R, not the 'C:' drive.
Reset the password for the 'Administrator' account to a "blank" value.
Remove the CD-R.
Restart the computer, and boot from the 'C:' drive.
Login as 'Administrator', and change the password.

How to unlock your computer if ur a single user? i only have an administrator account and no other acconts i forgot my password and dont know how to log in

Search online for "offline NT password reset" utility.
Boot your computer from a CD containing this software, and you can set the password for the 'Administrator' account to "blank". Then, remove the CD, and restart your computer,
and login as 'Administrator'.

Can not install CD for my Mp3 player

Click on Start --> Control Panel --> User Accounts --> Change an Account (or you can look at the list of accounts on the bottom half of the window, and look for the one that says "Computer Administrator" underneath it - log in as that person/user. If NONE of them say "Computer Administrator" underneath, then administrator privilieges have been disabled and we willl have to go through some more steps - Microsoft.com can show you how to change an account from a "guest" account to a "computer administrator" account

Problem

When you install a server operating system at that time it will ask you that how many maximum clients you want to attach this server so by default its 10 ,that means you can attach maximum of 10 clients , you can increase or decrease the no of computer you want.

Firstly you have to decide whether to add clients in workgroup mode or Domin mode..in domain mode you have the centralised management on the computer .so select domain level mode .
now to make clients either you can make 5 user in active directory user and computer.
1:Go to Administrative tools > Select Active Directory Users and computers > Select user on the left side > right click on that and select new user > now follow on screen instruction to make a user > now make other 4 user also in the same mannner. Now when you are logged on with local user on the clients select my computer > right click and Select properties > select my computer tab >now click change button to make client work with domain type only domain name for eg if your domain is contoso.com ,> type their only contoso > now a box will appear asking you for administrator and password enter domain controller pc password ,it will ask you to restart > after restart user can login at the client computer...
Or:

just login with local user at client computer Right click my computer > and do the same procedure ,after restarting you can login with your server name administrator and password .

Boot the computer in safe mode and create another account with administrator privileges. Then restart normally and either use the new account, or re-set the original administrator account password.
